  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Saw films have knocked down the A Nightmare on Elm Street films to become my favourite horror series.

All three films have a strong message about appreciating one's life. Although, I don't agree with how Jigsaw, the killer, went about to make people appreciate their lives more. He feels that people who don't value their lives deserve to lose it. The third film, in addition to the teaching about appreciation for one's life, also teaches about forgiveness; it also teaches about letting go in times of loss.

The third film is the goriest, most graphic film out of all three films. It is also the most graphic film I've ever seen in any horror film. As to how this film escaped with an R rating escapes me.

Anyone else seen Saw III?

You haven't seen that many horror films then.

Then please tell me what horror films that are more graphic, because I've seen a lot.
Cannibal Holocaust

Even Audition and Repulsion are more graphic and better...even Symphathy for Mr. Vengeance, which isn't a horror film...ever seen Irreversible? Way more graphic. I could go and on. But the best horror film I've seen is Les Diabolique (1955). No gore. No tricks. Just good old fashioned storytelling. It's scary, even if you can see the plot twist coming, which you'll probably see since it has been turned to a cliche already.

I saw it. I was spazing out at the first two death scenes. I'm convince that the SAW movies are death/torture porn.
How?
Because the reason lots of people go see the movies is to see how else the movie makers can kill/torture people.
