Has anyone here seen this movie? If so, what did you think of it? Personally, I think it did a very good job of illustrating some of the problems of Christian fanaticism while at the same time contrasting those problems by offering a good picture of what it really means to be a Christian. And on top of all that, it's pretty funny as well.

I'm not trying to start a debate of what it means to be a Christian. I just want opinions about the movie and the message it contains.

yep that's the one... & mandy moore and that other girl ... can't remember her name. (she was also in "the dangerous lives of alter boys" and other various films)

I saw it a few years ago. I liked it for the total message. I liked the story.

I actually despised this movie in theatres... not sure why now though. I mean, I then watched it again on a bus up to a Christian Camp, and I have to say, sitting down with a bunch of Christians to watch this film was such a fun experience! Just because of all the cliches!

No doubt. The first time I watched it was with a liberal non-denominational Christian, an agnostic, and a wiccan. Good times.
