I was "saved" and I was baptized last night.( I'm sure the pastor wasn't expecting it. I mean, my friend and I were probably the most unlively of the whole bunch. He asked if she and I were freaked out about it all. lol) Wow, I have never felt anything like that. Well, it happened right before this girl was crying and people were laying their hands on her. I prayed and asked God in my head, "Please help change her if you won't change me." I said that over and over again and then suddenly, it hit me. There was a voice is my head that said something like, "Alicia, I'm going to change you." Then, I was thinking that I'm on the edge of a break through and I just started breaking down crying, crying like I never have before. I felt this heat (I was sweating lots) and then I started uttering words in tounges. Wow, I mean..it was amazing. Everyone was around me staring, but it didn't really matter anymore. People asked me such things like, "How do you feel now?" I replied, "I feel free." Wow.
It was weird because that was the first time I have ever attended that church. I've probably attended church about 12 times in my life. Not to mention, I was Pagan for a few years. Anyway, I saw a sign about the church and the night before my friend was like, "Alicia, let's go to church!" I suggested Greater Faith. So, we did and you just never really know what's going to happen. I'm glad I went. It was an apolistic church and pretty enthusiastic. God is amazing!
