• Going into a Federal Building
• Getting Social Security
• Getting a job
• Purchasing cigarettes and alcohol
• Flying with an airline

Or is it just possible it being yet another "the sky is falling" pearl clutching event?

My understanding is that only entering a federal building and flying require Real ID.

You don't need 60 votes when you have NO bill - no plan - and no vision for it - since you have not offered proof of anything - thanks for your opinion.

Only if it indicates citizenship, which not every state's Real ID does. Some states do offer an "Enhanced" Real ID that does indicate citizenship, but indications of citizenship are not part of the 2005 Real ID standards. Real IDs are available to anyone in the US legally - citizen or not - so a Real ID in and of itself is not proof of citizenship. I can tell you right now that my Real ID does not make any indication of whether or not I am a US citizen.

Parsing down the grammar, there's nothing wrong with the drafting. There are Real ID-compliant identifications that do indicate citizenship (which would be acceptable). The problem is that some people are misunderstanding that to mean that all Real ID-compliant identifications are acceptable, which is not true.
