I solemnly swear, that when the following criteria are addressed, I will forever and all time renounce homosexuality:

a. You can show me a reason beyond "The Bible SEZ!" to consider homosexuality immoral

and/or

b. You can show a reason to consider all biblical teaching inerrant or unchangeing

and/or

c. You can conclusively prove that
Quote:
1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
is an accurate and culturally adjusted, context relevent translation

Nope, no one can force you to see beyond your pressupositions. It's like trying to talk to a brick wall.
I'm completely open to the posibility that someone will actually adress the three requirements.

If you posses trancendant truth, as you so often claim, this should not be difficult for you.

So why do you think sexually immorality, idolatry, adultery, prostitution, same-sex sex theft, drunkeness, greed, slander and swindling are ok?
I dont think any of them are because I can see they are all condemned not just in 1 Cor 6 but throughout the Bible
So... you come into this thread and use an "the Bible SEZ!" argument in your first post?

Did you even READ the OP?

No you are not, you have made it more than clear that there is no way going beyond your naturalistic assumptions.

Dear EnemyPartyII
Yes of course 1 Cor 6 is the Bible isnt it, thats in the OP.

Yes obviously. Did you know know what you were writing?
and if you had read and understood the OP, you would note that I'm asking for evidence that 1 Cor 6 is actually accurately translated and interpreted as a condemnation against homosexuality AND that it comes from God.

Just saying "1 Cor 6 is in the Bible" doesn't prove anything other than that 1 Cor 6 is in the Bible.

Yes, I already agree that it is.

Now... you got any evidence that there is any reason to pay it the same attention I would pay to Jesus?

I didn't, I keep showing you logical contradictions in your world view. That's besides the fact that you need to take a courses on biblical exegesis since you cannot seem to understand scripture accurately.

logical contradictions in my world view? fine. Whatever.

You going to address the OP, or did you just come in here to harangue me?

I make a genuine request for people to calmly and genuinely try to explain to me why they believe I should change my personal lifestyle, and so far, all you have done is make derogatory and deliberately argumentative comments.

Most people that come here will read 1 Cor 6:9, and not even realize that the word "Homosexual" is a serious breaking of Biblical Exegesis. Translation to translation, they can't get Arsenokoitai translated consistently, or malakoi for that matter, but hardly anyone will look past whatever translation they are reading.

You really mean that she does not interpret scripture the same way that YOU do.
