What do you think of the radio/TV show The Savage Nation?

I tried watching it yesterday, after hearing so much about him. But he was so obnoxious and wouldnt let anyone speak..that annoys the heck out of me. Bill Oreilly does the same thing..cutting people off when he doesnt like what they are saying. Made me turn it off. Seems like he was trying to hard to be a "shock jock" He is no Howard

Sounds like a true "showman" spewing garbage for the sake of controversy (and ratings). I mean just how many people listen to Rush who can't stand him or what he stands for. Dare I say it's all for money$$$$

I think Michael's right on the money (so to speak). Second-remove anectodes are a lousy way to make a point, so take this for whatever you think it's worth. I have an acquaintance who once met Savage, and he (the acquaintance) insists that the "real" Savage is nothing like his media persona, that it's just a cynical bit of pandering and playacting for ratings.
If true, that would go far toward explaining why Savage is so rabidly over the top.

The disturbing thing is that there is an audience for this. I assume that not everyone is in on the joke. That means that there are a hell of a lot of incredibly stupid and mean-spirited people in this country who eat up such c**p.

Yeah, yeah...I know. Big surprise, huh?

I listen to him. Sometimes I have to turn him off because he gets so wild, but I think he has a lot of good points.

I saw him for a few minutes on MSNBC a week ago, he sounded like a right wing talking head who is trying to set himself apart by being more extreme than the rest of the crowd. He's got quite a few groups trying to get him off the air, for example GLAAD. On the other side Michael Savage is not his real name, It's really Michael Weiner. Althought a show called Weiner Nation wouldn't have quite the impact Savage nation would...
