"Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days." - Psalm 90:14 (ESV)
As you wake up in the morning, are you grateful for God's provision of another day or are you selfish because of your trials and seek to satisfy the lusts of your flesh out of pride and selfishness? I write this, because it is a conviction of my own heart. Reading Psalm 90 this morning, God reminded me to not start His day (that's right it's HIS day given TO you) out of selfishness, but rather in praise and adoration for His steadfast love. God's grace does not simply begin and end with the salvation of His saints, but applies to common grace for all as well. Every day we are given, every breath we breathe is an unmerited gift of God. My question to you is how will you spend yours? Will you spend this day sulking in your anxieties or spend it praying to God and trusting in His faithfulness (Phil. 4:6)?
This day is yours to spend. It's a gift given by The Giver. Spend it well...
