Lets see if I can remember them:
Greed
Lust
Sloth
Pride
Gluttony
Envy/Jelousy
Hate

Wow, so If I had to put them in order, of worst to least.
1) Pride
2) Envy
3) Greed
4) Lust
5) Hate
6) Sloth
7) Gluttony

This woudl be my list, but I am really not the best at this, I mean, Yah, they are all bad, but a person that only has issues with going to the max when it comes to Food, seems like the least "Evil" of the bunch.

But that is Just me.

God Bless

Murder follows under wrath... I asked For Mortal sins.

And This whole devil vs god thing Just I think Its cool, Little onesided towards god, But interesting enough.
I once read this and thought it hit the nail on the head! No matter what sin- it leads one way or another to theft- You murder some one- you steal his life, you lie, you steal the right for truth, you commit adultery, you steal someones spouse, etc...

There is no struggle between God and the devil- God is all powerful- Satan is just a fallen angel! The struggle is with us and Statan- he temps us with sin, sometimes we bite! It is not onesided twards God. GOD IS! Nobody can compete with the creator of the world!

Out of all the 7 mortal sins... Witch basically everything can be subgrouped under... Witch one would be the worse? and would make the devil like you bettter and god look at you with disapointment.

Id say the worse in Pride. Isnt that why Lucifer fell from heaven?

Id say the least worse in Lust, Since god made us like that.

I know you guys are all going to say... THERE ALL BAD

But honeslty, If you HAD to say witch was witch
1st of all:
The "7 deadly sins" is not biblical.

2nd of all: sin, if it is deserving of hell, is bad. Period. Some are worse than others.

The worst sin is denying God (ignoring Him/attributing His qualities to something else ie the unpardonable sin). Pride is in there, but it is a specific type of pride. In the end, it has just tuned out God's voice completely so the Holy Spirit cannot work in the person's life to bring him back to God.

There's no such thing as a "little sin". Some are worse than others, but say a man is guilty of a crime, while another is guilty of a different one. One man is given 7 life sentences, the other is given 23. Which is a smaller crime? Probably the 7. Doesn't mean "Well, if I had to choose, I'd pick the 7".

Don't do either.

Live for God, not for as little God and the most self that will get you into heaven. :prayer:

There is no one sin greater or lesser than another. Sin is the breaking of God's Law, or missing the mark of God's standards. The Bible says if we break one of God's laws then we have broken the lot. So that means if we tell a little white lie, sin is sin, and we have broken the whole law.

(Jam 2:10) For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

(Jam 2:11) For He who said, "DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY," also said, "DO NOT COMMIT MURDER." Now if you do not commit adultery, but do commit murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

I looked for the seven deadly sins but this is as close to it as I could find. The seven deadly sins was written by a pope forgot his name though.

Proverbs 6:16-19 declares: “There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.” However, Proverbs 6:16-19 is not what most people understand as the “Seven Deadly Sins.” Most understand the “Seven Deadly Sins” to be: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, and sloth. Although each of these are sins, they are never given the description of "the seven deadly sins." They can function as a good way to categorize the many different sins that exist.

There is only one way the Bible writers categorize sin:
The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Compare with the three temptations of Jesus, as well as the three temptations of Eve.

If I were to be limited to the "7 deadly sins" (how's that for a misnomer?) I'd choose pride, since that started the ball rolling.

I don't want to discuss unforgivable sins...

The NT does state, for a Christian, sexual sin is the worst, but...

Ding! ding! dong!
Personally, I think the MinDach has it. Unbelief is the one that lands you in hell.

Really?
Well I suppose that could almost cover everything.

Biblical support? I don't think this is sound...

Although it is true that unless you believe, you will perish, unbelief, biblically, is not why God sends you to hell.

Sin is.

Well, of course, that's true.

The point being, that if you believe, your sins can be forgiven. But if you don't, you can't be forgiven, and we should be able to agree where that lands you. I'm not making a doctrinal statement here. I'm just exploring reasons for choosing a particular sin as worse than the others. This was about half-serious, because the "7 deadly sins" that the question originates from, biblically, is pure bunk. As you noted, all sin is deadly. I was avoiding the question of eternal sins (the ones that are not forgiven in this age nor in the next), due to the controversy that will undoubtedly instigate here.

If you're disagreeing with either of the first two statements, I'd be more than happy to give you chapter and verse for that.:)

I believe you are proceeding down a misleading path when you assume that Satan can "love" a sin, or that a sinner may be "favoured" by him.

Satans cheif goal is to be God. Satan is incredibly insulted that this sumpreme, all loving being is not him. Satans aim is not to encourage sin, encouraging sin is merely a means towards accomplishing his goal.

According to Revelations, in the end Gods followers will be a (relatively) small group with their backs to the wall against the dark horde of men which have sinned and turned away from God. In this moment, Satan will imagine that he has accomplished his goal, and will soon replace God. What Satan refuses to aknowledge, however, is that all his efforts are for naught because God is perfct and inconqurable. IN that moment he imaginses he has won, "fire from the sky) will destroy him and all the legions of evil men, and they will be forever cast into a "lake of acid" (presumably either destroying them or begetting etrnal suffering)

Satan also imagined he had won when he killed God (in the form of Jesus Christ), but three days later he was dissappointed when God rose from the dead. God has been preaching to the people of Noahs time, which the flood had destroyed, and given them a chance to repent (1 peter)

So satan loves neither sins or sinners, but instead love power, and hates God, who is the possessor of all power. All power Satan have is ultimately taken from God (just as the gas that hitler used in the camps was ultimately part of Gods creation)

Satan see other fallen angels and humans as mere tools, not allies or friends. You might garner favour from him by entereing into his dark circles, but he only bestows honor to you in the interest of keeping you sinning or enticing other to sin by showing the rewards he has bestowed on you (such as levitating tables or other occult powers.) WHen you are no longer of use to him, he will gobble you up, or destroy you. Unlike God, he does not actually care about you. You dont earn "points" by sinning, but actually loose all your points by surrendering your belief in God and your committment to good, therefore forever condemning yourself, along with satan, to death.

Just a guess, but I would suppose the devil gets the biggest kick out of someone who says "There is no devil, it's all a myth." The second biggest laugh from the devil would come at the expense of those who say "There is no God."

That's very insightful. I guess the devil would like the fact that people think he doesn't exist, people can't fight him if they don't think he's there. Though I suppose saying "The devil and sin exist... but who cares?" is just as bad.

The worst thing is pride, Im so strong in that belef. Because everything falls from that

If ou deny god, its out of your pride
if you take power from satan, its because of your pride
If you take your life(the worst thnig you can do) its because of your pride

Pride is just so bad... Its origonally good. For all god made was good, When you do something great its ok to feel good about it, but we twisted it so much.....

Hm. Not really. A great many do, but not all. Perhaps selfishness, but not exactly pride.

IMHO....the worst thing you can do to G-d is to throw your salvation back at Him and reject it. From that point, there is no returning to G-d's grace and forgiveness.

Next, would be adultry/fornication. Every other sin hurts the mind and/or heart, but this one actually attacks the Temple of G-d and defiles it directly. It is the only one you do with the mind, body, heart and soul.
