• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
 • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've heard that what is called "the Church of Satan" was founded by Anton Szandor Lavey in 1966.

- Also, the twin towers started building in 1966.
- 1966 was the year of the film Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966)
- 1966 was also the year of the film The Plague of the Zombies
- The two Towers is the name of the second part of the film "Lord of the Rings" in which witchcraft is a major theme..
etc.

But isn't it striking that the WTC was being built the same year that the so called Church of Satan was established? Let's not forget what the number 6 or 66 or 666 means for satanists! (Christians too know about that, I'm sure)
Let's not forget too that the sixties were the years where a lot of permissive laws were voted.

To know a little bit on the 9/11 tragedies and its link to stanism, read this article:

April 30, 1966 to be specific. And LaVey Satanism is rather tongue in cheek
about the Christian Devil, from what I've read.

And completed in 1977.

Okay....horror movies are released all the time. "The Mummy," "The
Haunting," and "Deep Blue Sea" were all released in 1999, which has
666 upside down. 1966 and a movie titled "Prince of Darkness?" Smells
like marketing to me.

And the book was published in 1954, written before that, and references
towers/fortresses within the book. Even Tolkien himself felt it could
be open to interpretation, but was appropriate due to the range the
book covers. Is it Isengard(Orthanc)? Cirith Ungol (the watchtower
Shelob lurked near)? Barad-Dur (Sauron's fortress)? Minas Tirith?
Minas Morgul (the base for the Nazgul)? These are all
fortresses or citadels that are important to the story.

In addition, the Tower tarot can use as a picture just about anything representing destruction and change, this particular picture means nothing. And, no offense intended to any Muslims except this one, but are proposing that Satanists were to blame for an attack conceived, prepared, and carried out entirely by Islamic followers?

Plus, the images of the "Tower" cited and the other Tarot cards on that site
bear a strong resemblance to the Rider-Waite Tarot deck, first published in
1910. The general meaning of the card is destruction of false instituitions,
and the major Arcana are regarded to tell the story of the Fool's progress
towards wisdom.

thanks for the curiosity in what i have to say, but i cannot post it again, i don't want to offend anyone and i fear my sources may be wrong about what i was going to say. But i read in another thread that the mods would close anything related to satan.

so im going to play it safe and hope this is closed.

I'm cool with everything you've said, markie, really. In the interest of
satisfying your questions regarding Satanism, I do politely suggest you
read the two threads on it elsewhere in the non-Christian forum. Your
curiosities or questions regarding Satanism (traditional and/or LaVey) may have
already been answered there. Me, I'm gonna be like Fonzie. And how's Fonzie?
Fonzie's cool.
It's not so much an interest, as a willingness to talk about it. As I said if you're not worshiping the true God you are in fact worshiping the devil no matter what you call it and that's not just my opinion it's what the word of God says. It says thou shall have no other gods before me. The Koran says there is no God but Allah or something like that and other books considered by the followers of a religion to be holy might say something similar. Whether the bible is the word of God that''s an opinion

Oh come on, Yam, we Satanists aren't that easily offended, and I'm sure your sources, if they're wrong, won't say anything that everyone hasn't heard before. And, as someone said earlier, talking about Satanism is allowed, trying to convert people to it isn't.

And, just in case, Yam Kimil-sama, please, you must speak without fear as to consequence, else your honor will tarnished, teehee, *wink*.

That isn't fair, you get us curious and then you don't want to talk about it. Satanism is just another religion. If you don''t want to talk about it youu might be able to im them and ask them to delete it.

Just a correction: I'm not speaking on behalf of the muslims. secondly, prove please that it was so made by so-called islamic followers.

Yeah, I know you aren't speaking on behalf of Muslims everywhere, which is why I singled you out in that earlier post. The unpleasant truth is that Al Qaeda considers itself an Islamic organization, which is fairly apparent from how their statements are always talking about Allah and Jihad and so on. Which, though it might not make them Islamic from your point of view, or anyone else's for that matter, it does make them 'so-called Islamic followers', since a lot of their philosophies come from Islamic doctrine, albeit considerably perverted and twisted.

we can talk about satanism as a discussion. There was a big discussion a couple of months ago, whether to allow satanists to post here. It was determined that they could, as long as they remained respectful of christians. They can explain their religion, but not promote it.

But since you are the OP and you are hoping that this closes, i will grant your wish. Anyone wanting to continue another discussion on satanists or satanism is asked to open a new thread.

This one is closed
