Without a doubt my favorite singer in the world, bar none.
I am a little disappointed in the lack of general knowledge everyone on this thread seems to have of her.
I do recommend listening to the Eden album, though. When she divorced Webber, there was a fear that she would be known as merely Andrew's muse, someone put on this planet to do little more than record his songs. But she has put together an impressive catalog of albums of her own, with her own style and everything. She employs a hybrid style employing classical elements with techno beats. Combine that with her angelic voice, and you have a sound that is not only heavenly, but entirely her own.
You can find her albums in the classical or New Age sections of your recordshop, depending on which it is.
Remember when it seemed everyone was recording the love theme to Titalic a few years ago? Well, imagine Sarah singing it in Italian! Listen to IL CUORE MIO VA on the Eden album. One of the most beautiful things I've heard in my life. And it blows away the Celine Dion original.
There are only a handful of human beings in the history of life that I truly adore. Sarah Brightman will always be one of them. Truly the Angel of Music.
