Samsung Tab v. iPad

So far I've resisted the urge to modernize by buying a tablet but recently I had to use one for work and have to admit it's pretty convenient. I've tried the iPad mini and Samsung Tab 2...I prefer the Samsung.

Any advice for a new buyer?

I prefer iPad. Hate Macs and iPhones, but the iPad is tablet perfection. (Note: I do own a Mac and it is an utter disappointment. When I bought it I told myself that I'd use it for one year but I think I'm going to get rid of it early.)

iPad mini is great, although I don't know much about the Tab 2. My phone is a Samsung and I prefer it over the iPhone, but I won't deny that the iPad mini is the perfect size for reading and surfing da interwebz.

Tab 4 is on for a good price right now. It has the same size screen but less of a plastic frame if that makes sense.
