  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Same old, same old...

Well, I can see that the only thing that has changed since I last posted on CF are the usernames of the people spouting the anti-Calvinist tripe... :( :sigh:
You just have to find the right threads, brother! Jump into one of the Reformation philosophy threads every now and then. We bypass the modernists altogether by elevating the discussion above their heads through the use of incredibly complicated philosophical terms like, "sovereignty," "justification," "propitiation," or the grand-daddy of them all: soteriology. ;) :D

Ha, ha. Well, not really. I understand what you mean, though. I just participate in threads that I find interesting now. I've realized that I'm going to change about zero-people's opinion's on the Internet and I am okay with that—especially with the potential God has brought with this new Bible study in which I am teaching.

I use CF as primarily a place of fellowship, now.

Soli Deo Gloria
