• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, you specifically said 'this thread', I railed against calvinism. Should be easy for you, give that quote, in 'this thread'.

Why should I go through the trouble of listing them specifically for you? It is firmly within your interests not to lay claim to them or to redefine them as not being against Calvinism. In fact, I think that the redefinition route was the one you took when your anti-Calvinism was pointed out by others.

Since you said I 'railed' against calvinism 'in this' thread, you can not even quote that. You are just blovating and can not make the 'quotes' that you are charging, which should show clear enough who it is doing the railing and making false accusations. Proud of yourself now?

You have, and it does not have to be under the specific name of "Calvinism" to be understood. Anyone who is willing to employ such rhetoric should know what will come back to haunt them. Also, the person deciphering the rhetoric should be sharp enough to call on it.

The proper spelling of the word is "bloviating." Also, I am pretty sure that I used that term in describing the type of rhetoric you were pushing against education and learning. It doesn't work to try and turn the word around on your challenger in an unfitting manner.

All of the pronouncements of "false accusations" and answering and accountability before what amounts to your own self-established judgment seat (not Christ's) is part and parcel of that same pious rhetoric.

No, I am not "proud" of myself, considering that "pride" was one of the tropes you tried to tag Calvinists with as followers of an -ism.

You have made quite a number of comments in this thread. All you have done is make personal accusations which you can not quote. If you want to discuss any theology which uses the scripture, then we can look at what scripture as a whole says about that subject. What you feel about me is not something that is supposed to be discussed here. If the situation were reversed, then I am pretty sure a notification would have been issued to me by now. Yet, you continue with personal accusations you can not quote, nor prove scripturally, or any other way, and apparently that is the only reason you have commented in this thread, and have been given free will to do so.

This thread is about salvation being in Jesus Christ, alone. You said we all lift up Jesus Christ here, so do you have anything in that regard, since this is the subject of the thread? This thread is not about me, or you, or calvinism, or any other subject. Since you have gone for many comments now, and can make no quote from me in regards to all your accusations, why don't you just stop de-railing the thread?
