Salvation Army Churches?

I have heard of the salvation army and all, but the only time I've seen them is on streetcorners collecting money, I also saw one building downtown that was Salvation Army.

I did not know they had churches. Do they do the church thing in their buildings or what? How did this come about?

I'm just curious because I have never heard of this before, I knew the salvation army was a christian charity organization but I did not know that they actually had churches.

It's kind of cool actually. Anyway, if you could just give me a little background and stuff I would really appreciate it.

we have church buildings just like everyone else.. dont ask me about the history i dont know much about that.

William Booth established The Salvation Army Church. I believe he felt the churches of his day were becoming country clubs and not doing enough for the lost. So, this man sought the lost and aided them while preaching The Gospel Message. There are a couple of stories on the net, I should search and post some of the link. Lovely Christian denomination. I would attend one if there was one closer to me.
