Could anybody tell me a good book on Saint John Maximovitch? I'm really starting to fell a bond with the Holy Saint.

Although many people refer to him as Saint John Maximovitch, saints are not as a rule referred to by their last name but by the city they were associated with or a particular grace they were noted for (Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, Saint Maximus the Confessor, Saint Nektarios of Aegina/Pentapolis, Saint John of Damascus, etc.).
So it is more proper to refer to him as Saint John of Shanghai and San Fransisco or Saint John the Wonderworker.

Yes, this is the reason. I'm sure the monastery doesn't have tons of cash to cover redesigns, so I'm sure they're just going with this older cover. The book I believe was published 10-15 years before his canonization.Oblio said:Old book published before his canonization ?
