Saint Eva???

I've always believed there was no Saint Eva. In looking on the internet on Saint searches, I've never encountered her name. But today I found this medal for 'Saint Eva'.

Anyone have any information as to wether or not there is a Saint Eva?

I just did a search for "Saint Eva" and just got loads and loads of info on Eva Marie Saint..

Blessed Eva of Liege (May 26)

When Blessed Juliana was prioress of Mount Cornillon, one of her closest friends was a holy recluse, Eva, or Heva, of Liege, whom she inspired with her own enthusiastic purpose to obtain the institution of a feast in honor of the Blessed Sacrament. It was in Eva's cell near the church of St. Martin that Juliana found refuge when she was driven for the first time from Cornillon, and it was Eva who took up her mission after she died. The accession of Pope Urban IV raised her hopes, for he had formerly shown himself sympathetic when, as archdeacon James Pantaleon, he had been approached on the subject by Blessed Juliana. Eva's hopes were fulfilled. Not only did he institute the festival of Corpus Christi, but he sent to her the bull of authorization as well as a special office for the day St. Thomas Aquinas had compiled at his desire. The cultus of Blessed Eva was confirmed in 1902. Her feast day is May 26.

Thank you, Paul.. I had found her. But not a 'Saint'... I mean... blessed does not mean they can give her the title of Saint, can they?

Blesseds are not yet saints, but I did find a few pages mentioning "St. Eva of Liege", although without explanation.

I also looked in my Martyrology, and there was no St. Eva listed. But she may be a more recent saint, since my Martyrology is from the 1950s. I don't have the new one.

I've been looking all over. She's not in my saints dictionary, which is from the seventies... I've never found a reference to any Saint Eva, only to Blessed Eva of Liege

Maybe the people who made the meda just didn't know the difference between Blessed and Saint?
