CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Never mind. I looked it up and it appears they are her real eyes. I guess all that was done was to treat her body with chemicals.

From what I was told, they were real and in fact squelched a riot that was in process outside.
Apparently, her eyes opened as the riot in the street began and someone ran outside and yelled that her
eyes had opened. This stopped the riot as the protestors ran inside to see the miracle of her
eyes opening.
Her body is on display at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal at RueDe Boc, Paris.
Other relics of saints are also there.

Yes! I've heard that happening with many incorrupt saints. They also smell like roses, and appear to move.

I went to grade school at a school/church called St. Catherine Laboure’.I should wear my miraculous medal more often, but religious items are not allowed at work
I remember our teacher giving all of us a Miraculous Medal. I loved it.
