Sailor Moon

I bought two Sailor Moon DVDs yesterday. I never really liked the show until istarted watching it from the beginning. It is full of good values and aname fun. I just saw the introduction to sailor mercury neat stuff. I like the cartoon versions of Chinese monster demons. What are your opinions?

I love Sailor Moon, I just wish they air the Star series, cause thats the only series of Sailor Moon I havent seen. Sailor Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus are my favorite sailor scouts.

Sailor Moon is one of the best cartoons ever saw. I wish they would show StarS too, but they won't because of the transsexual content on it and if it comes on American TV, there may be lawsuit. It's really bogus that you have to go out of your own way to buy it!

I like Sailor Moon, was one of the first anime series I really got into. Cost me quite a bit to get all the episodes from Japan. I cant stand how they are on American TV.

Alright...I understand that the dubs are deemed as "terrible" and awful but at least (In my opinion) I would be appreciative, cuz Dic did not have to dub it...we're talking about a company that cool produced shows like "The Sylvanian Families" and an old fave named "Rimba's Island". This might sound whack, but for real, though, I would be more appreciative...in my younger years I didn't care about the quality of the dubs...yeah...it looked cruddy a little in editing (SM) but at least it was there...it's like my mom says...she says it wouldn't hurt to have some appreciation...she says I don't appreciate enuff...Word.

Try waiting ten years more and then watch it. As an adult I find it to be very interesting.

It wasnt until I was sent some gifts from Japan, and saw how it really was, that I relised it wasnt just some little kids show. You're right, they didnt have to dub it, and personally it wouldnt matter to me if they didnt. If some people like the dubs, thats cool, thats their opinion. Just as it is my opinion to dislike it. I, personally, have zero reason to be appreciative of it.. I am appreciative of the original manga and Japanese series, because they're the ones I enjoy and care about.

Oh...okay...Yeah the manga is beautiful... I have 2 books so far....manga* I didn't mean to get all that mad, (if I sounded mad) but it generally because there are a whole lot of ppl on the net, believe me who complain and moan about the dubs....

LOL guys! I am like 18 now and i remeber watching Salor Moon come on Toonami when i was like...oh i dont know ... 13! I always did think those Salor chicks where Hot though! I havent watched it in 5 years. i hope they havent made new ones. cuase the origional first 2 seasons were good but the other wernt. after Salor Jupiter and Salor Moon's(Serina was her name?) little sister...who turned out to be her daughter? things got bad...

I kinda enjoyed the dub but was amazed when I watched all the seasons at a friends place. She had every single episode & movie, all the ones from Japan & everything that had been dubbed till that point.

The last season was by far the best but there is no way that they could show it in North America. It was pushed as a childs show here and they would have to seriously butcher it to make it viewable to kids. It's more than Sailor Star Fighter (Seiya) having a crush on Usagi (Serena I think she is called in the dub.....been a long time) but they can't pull the "cousions" card with Uranus & Neptune like they did in the third season, the fact that for the last two episodes (if I remember correctly, I know for certain the last episode and I *think* for the second to last one) that Usagi is completely naked, but the fact that it's character deaths and not the **** they've done in previous seasons.

I do recommend that anyone who hasn't watched it since they were younger give it another try now that they are older.

Yeah i havent seen it since i was like 10. I think... Anyways i used to run home from school just to watch that show. Though i cant quite remember what happened other than sailor moon was a ditz and each episode was a new bad guy. I wish i could watch it again.. dont think ill have the chance to though. anyways.. it was a definate favourite.

OOH..i thought i would never find anyone that liked Sailor Moon in here!!!I loved it ever since i was 8! I drew all of the Sailor Moon characters(i still remember the huge Sailor Venus portrait I made on my school desk =) and i watched almost all the series!(they never showed the season about the starlights in Russia=( But all of my friends in school made fun of me all the time!!!They thought SM was really stupid =/ I never really liked a lot of anime,but this is beautiful!
Do u know where i could buy them so that the Japanese could be heard behind the english? cuz i hate translations because of how the change all the names and voices!
and...ok,hold on,i want to start a different thread about this =)
