  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Safety.

In the past, I'd work out out of selfishness, wanting to look good, be strong, etc., all for myself. But it's different now.

See, I'm in love with the girl God blessed my life with, and she often tells me things, things that worry me since I know most males are stronger than me. What if someone were to threaten her, and I could do nothing? I'm a 5' 2", 120lb, almost 17 year old guy... I can protect her emotionally and spiritually as best I can, but physically, I need improvement. I want her to feel very safe in my arms. I want to know I can protect her from those that would hurt her. I'm tired of worrying about this, so please pray that the Lord will give me the strength to become stronger. I don't want to buff up, and I won't (when I was stronger about a year ago, my muscles hardly showed, since my body is slim by design), I just want to be strong enough to be confident in my ability to protect her. I don't want ANYTHING to hurt her. Also, please pray that God will protect her in every area I can't, and even in the areas I can, because nothing, and I mean nothing, is going to hurt her!

It's not really size that matters, really. I'm 5' 3/4" inches and small-boned. I have brought big brawny men to their knees. It's internal stuff that makes one strong. The bottom line is that God has our back. It was the same with David. He faced up to lions, bears, and Goliath when ev'rybody else was scared to. The reason? Because he trusted in God to protect him. And God did. God places angels around us, for real.

Godly evening,

Dear young one, below is some steps you may want to use to help.

1. Always pray to the Lord and ask him to remove the negative thoughts that Satan is placing inside you. The Bible says:

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12)

Satan is very evil and in one's happiness, he will try to destroy it. Satan does not want good things in your life. So when the moment that bad thoughts start, remember: http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/popup.pl?book=Jam&chapter=4&verse=7&version=kjvSubmit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James4:7)

2. When you are in your 80s and sitting next to the woman you have loved for so many years. It is not the outside that will be the main topic. It will be conversation regarding all the memories that you shared together in life.

3. Before you can make others happy, you must be happy yourself. Ask the Lord to guide you! It will happen.

4. Close your eyes (after you read this) what did you see? It was nothing physical, but you were able to feel your thoughts and emotions.

5. Remember that you are special because the Lord allowed you to be here. You are a piece of the Master, so this makes you a Masterpiece.

Let Go and Let God

No God - No Life
Know God - Know Life

I will pray for you and I KNOW the Lord will hear my prayers. He is always here for you!

In Christian :groupray: Friendship,

Christian
