  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

On Tuesday morning when I arrived at shul for the service for 1st day of Pesach, I saw that the glass doors had been shattered during the night. It was a couple of young guys and they were caught on the security video (but not their faces). A glazer was called and we went on with the service, with my daughter crying and some of the older people just saying "Oy, not again..."

Well on Shabbat morning, we discovered that the windows on the other side of the synagogue had been broken in and swastikas (sp?) painted in front. An older man said "well, last night was good friday...nothing new" I went by today and the windows are still boarded up, they'll get replaced tomorrow.

I am just so sad and so incredibly angry right now!!!!! Please pray....:prayer:

This terrible thing has not happened to you only but to all of us.I'm very shocked at these events and believe me I mourn for what has been done as I'm sure everyone in here mourns but let us all have hope and thank g-d that these things are done. What a blessing that you and yours have now had the chance to suffer. I have been falsly accused of a few things. My regrets are that I didnt thank G-d for the persecutions.I should have smiled from the beginning. So now I will smile for you and praise hashem that you are worthy to suffer such persacution. I'm jealous,I wish someone would beat me tomorrow cause I love sukkot so much or because I respect Torah so much. I dont keep it all but I know right from wrong because of it.Let them Do worse because in the end nothing will be hidden. begin now to uphold and earnastly pray for the people who broke the windows.I lift them up in prayer. If they get caught find a way to bless them because they have blessed you by persecuting you. They are giving you a chance to bless those that curse you.like Yeshuah that said-forgive them cause they know not what they do.

Im really sorry achoti!! :(
Il be praying for you and your congregation, it truely is a sad thing when such baseless hatred becomes a regular occurance.

Regardless, Im so very sorry you had to make it through that achoti, it is never going to slack, as I-53 says G-ds servant is "oppressed and afflicted". But its important to keep going, knowing you have G-d on your side and that he will comfort you and guide you.

These kinds of actions really make me sick, Il be praying of cource!
Shalom and G-d bless

The curse causeless does not come.......

The people of G-d are cursed by the people of the Ba'alim because the truth holds a mirror up that reflects the corruption in their soul. And so they curse us. Thus it has always been and thus it will always be until Messiah returns.

The Big Lie has been the promise of safety in assimilation - the Jews of Germany bought the same lie.

The truth has not changed.

You and your congregation are in my heart and on my tongue to G-d.

I am requesting in response to this thread that every member of a Christian church please copy this post, print it out and personally hand it to the pastor of their church.

Dear Pastor:

Allow me to introduce myself to you; my name is Pastor George and I am ordained with a Predenomintaional / Messianic ministry called Full Life Ministries Intl. Recently an event of anti semetic behavior was recounted to me on a public internet discussion group. And I would like to give you a challenge.

Pastor I challenge you to go in front of your congregation and to let them know that with each act of anti semitism we each who are members of the Christian church have blood on our hands. Each one of us indivitually are guilty and none are found innocent.

We are guilty because we do not stand up and decry it from our pulpits. We are guilty because we do not teach it in our sunday schools. We are guilty because we do not join hands with the Jewish community to stop it. At best we offer lip service and wringing hands.

Pastor the Christian church has in no way replaced Israel as G-ds chosen people. Rather we as gentiles are blessed that we are allowed as wild olive branches to be grafted into the family of G-d throught the root who is Y'shua (Jesus) the true Lion of Judah. To teach anything else is a lie. We are not the true Isreal nor spiritual Isreal. Rather we are orphans who have been taken in by a loving family.

It is then therefore Patricide to persecute the Jew be he one who has accepted the messiahship of Y'shua or not. It is Fratricide also for they are our parents and our brothers. We are the ones who have been taken in by the grace of G-d and have no place to declare otherwise.

Hence I challenge you to go before your congregation and tell them this. I doubt you will because you too have blood on your hands for teaching falsely and by your own acceptance. I challenge you also to put out of the church for good ones who openly are anti-semetic, or even quietly anti-semetic. And I defy you to teach in public the church's terrible record of persecuting the Jew for Jesus sake. We are Romans, Iquisitors, Czarists and Natzi's for these have used our own best preaching to shed the blood of innocent men.

Doing these things will not remove the blood from our hands, but Pastor it will prevent more from being added.

If you have any questions or need resources please contact me at: pastor.george@nehemiah-center.org

Blessings

Pastor George

Good job PG, I have forwarded that post to all the Pastors on the list of the congregational Union here ;)

Lack of teaching against anti-semitism in the church is what causes replacement theology and outright hatred. This insident is just a recurring theme, such as on a larger scale the crusades and the inquisitions. I do not believe it will be stopped fully, but indeed an impact can be made. Despite my theological objections to the church, it is their responsibility to stop anti-semitism which often times comes from either jealousy, twisting of verses in the Jewish Bible, or just plain yetzer hara induced hatred. oy vey.

Printing it PG, to give to the pastors I know. We finally have the "Passion" here, and so far no violence or displays as I have seen... and I am praying not to see or hear of any here. But we are not blessed to have a Jewish population in my town -- and actually DH and I are the closest it gets (which isn't close)... so :prayer:

I just want to thank each of you for your kind words and prayers. This has been a difficult week for our congregation. I honestly cannot understand how/why a person would do something like this. Thank G-d they didn't go into the synagogue and destroy even more.

Today at the Yizkor service, the rabbi told us that there will be a special prayer service and small press conference on Thursday. There will be some members of clergy of some of the area churches there as well in support. He said we need to let the community be aware of the things that are taking place. Otherwise, good-hearted people will ao along thinking, "There isn't any anti-semitism in our city", and not even realize that there is indeed.

Pastor George, you are such a special man. I just love your heart!!! Thank you for writing up that letter. And thank you Hix & Zemmy (and everyone else) for printing/forwarding PG's letter.

Plan 9, Zemirah, Flavius, Hix, Henaynei, visionary, Wild Celt, Eusebios, P4I, PG, Christy, and everyone else, thank you for your love and support. These things are so incredibly ugly and I praise G-d that I can come here and find such beauty in you all. Thank you!

I apologize for not responding to this sooner, please know that I have been praying for you, but was too sickened by this , especially at this season of the year to respond.:(

Persecution is our inheritance,nu? and a blessing as well for did not Y'shua say, "Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and say and do all manner of evil against you for my name's sake, Rejoice and be exceedingly glad for your reward is great in heaven."

In all things we are to Praise HaShem! even in times like this, for you see He has protected those of the synagogue, no one was harmed were they? But the result is public awareness, Church awareness, and that is Tov!

So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O L-RD. --King David

(((Zayit))) please don't apologize for not responding sooner. I knew that the ones who responded were not the only ones praying & supporting our congregation. It is very sickening, isn't it

You are so sweet and I thank you! And yes, I pray that good comes out of the awareness that will occur. I pray that good people will not stay silent and thus allow evil to win.

May our G-d above bless you!

Hix,
I was thinking about your post this morning as I drove the children to school. My daughter (10) was asking about the press conference tomorrow and saying 'what is the point? people will always hate us when they don't even know us', etc. We briefly talked about anti-semitism through history and how its true that many people will hate us....BUT that we are following G-d and He will not abandon us. And that there are many, many people who, even if they don't agree with us theologically, will stand with us because they also love G-d and His people.

Thank you, Achi

A note to the children:

Dearest little ones:

You are probably frightened and afraid today. Wondering why some one would hate you for your religion, why they would hate you because you love G-d. You might well wonder what good it will do to tell people what happened and why it is wrong. Do not dismay neither be afraid.

From the very begining the people of the world have hated G-ds people. But it's not personal children it is really their father hating our father. You see their father is the devil the prince of lies and the hater of good. Our father is Ha'Shem almighty G-d who loves and always tells the truth. Evil hates good and so this is why we have always been persecuted.

We must always let the world know what happens because there are good people in this world who do care. There are people who have come from different tribes and languages who have grown to love Ha'Shem just as we do. I am one of those people. They need to know because they will surely come to our defense. This may come in many ways some times with prayers other times with hands to hold ours and some times to stand in the way of those who would hurt us.

Bad things are always done in secret and the devil does not want you to tell. But you do tell always tell. The world does not want G-ds people hurt only the ones whose father is the devil. He is like a sneaky rat that hides in dark places. When we shine a light on him he goes back into his stinky little hole and hides for he fears the light.

And most of all tell mommy and daddy and your Rabbi that things will be ok and that a gentile man wrote you a letter and said: Isreal is protected this day by the righteous gentiles.

bless you

Pastor George
