Understanding history helps to understand Bible prophecies.
No, I do not agree! Knowing your church history shows that Christianity had to distance itself from the pernicious Heresy of Jewish Sabbath Keeping, especially since the Jews started a special prayer to identify "Christian Traitors". That is why it was decided to worship on the Lords Day.
Whether it helps or not is very speculative at best.Understanding history helps to understand Bible prophecies.
overemphasis on one particular law is usually a symptom of legalistic thinking.... somewhere lurking in the background is a "list" of things that supposedly should be kept.....
without a doubt and usually that becomes the basis of "righteousness."And often this list includes a number of man-made ingredients.

You will find that there is not one church out there that is perfect but there is one Savior who is. I guess we just have to find the church that best fits with what the Lord has revealed to us in Scripture.
I am willing to bet that you don't even know your own bias and your own slanted perspectiveIt's not my church history that I'm talking about, it's all history.
When I study the Scriptures I do not do it with a denominational mindset. I try to let the Scriptures say what they mean and I use the whole Bible to interpret itself. I also agree with you that the SDA church has got some problems and in some areas they are not being truthful with what Scripture is really saying. You will find that there is not one church out there that is perfect but there is one Savior who is. I guess we just have to find the church that best fits with what the Lord has revealed to us in Scripture.

The Orthodox Christian Church is evangelical but not Protestant.
It is orthodox but not Jewish.
It is not nondenominational, it is predenominational.
It has believed, preserved, defended, taught, and died for the faith of the apostles for 2,000 years." (Excerpt
from the prologue of "Our Life in Christ - Orthodox Christian Ministry"
It is Ancient. It is modern. It is Eternal!!!
What devil are you talking about? The one I know of persecutes a lot more people than the ones YOU think are closest to God!The devil only persecutes those closest to God!
