What a sorry, sad world we live in! :( But praaise God for His mercy and grace to us! :amen:

Couldn't God do better than that by simply removing them from this planet and leaving his people intact?

How many Christians were actually killed in this bloodbath? And how would you feel if they came out here and massacred a whole bunch of children in a kindergarten because they weren't of their religion?

As upsetting as the situation is, we must remember that God is ultimately in control.

genesis 50:20But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Couldn't God do better than that by simply removing them from this planet and leaving his people intact?
God knows and hears our frustrations... Have peace in the knowledge that God will cast judgment in His time.

I pray for all the children that they will know God and he will heal their hurts.

Forgive my ignorance, but I cannot see where God was in control of this situation. More likely satan.
Now, we pray for the mess to be cleaned up and the broken hearts to heal. The bewilderment and anger to cease. And, for those who survived...to not be scarred for life.
He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah Psalm 66:7

How should man be just with God? If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not. Job 9:2b-11

Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. John 19:10-11

"... God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) He is in command of everything. But remember, God also gave us the freewill to do his will or not.

Hi,

I think that we should take some time out to pray for the people who lost their lives and were wounded during the recent school seige in Russia.

I saw a couple of photos of it on a public newsgroup, and think it is absolutely horrific. What sort of animals does God allow to curse this earth by treating children this way?

So hard to see where God isin all this but He's the one left standing at the end of the day... and I do believe that precious children who have no comprehension of sin and are yet to reach the age of innocence, go to be with God, small comfort here on earth for the survivors but this is the hope we all have as God's children, and seeing as the Lord is "rich in mercy" according to the Bible, I am sure that He, the judge of all the earth will do RIGHT. As a Russian (yeah I live here, was born here but I am half-Russian origin) I am shocked to see what my fellow Russians are doing to each other... makes no sense to me, but last night at Crossfire we prayed over the situation and we sensed in faith that some good, some hope must spread from the ashes, like how grass splits the concrete... c'mon Aussies let's get behind the Russians in prayer and seek God's intervention in the lives of the survivors...in prayer I sense a spirit of oppression and loss over Russia, but I believe we serve a God who specialises in these things we humans just cannot do... and when the oppression lifts, we pray God's precious Holy Spirit , descending in grace would revive the people with His presence... believe it church, we can see this happen!!!!

Exactly LW.:crosself: :groupray: Let us all pray for these battered and bewildered poor people who did nothing, simply nothing to deserve this. Let us pray for the parents who have lost their children. And, let us pray that the Russian Government will now be more responsible for the people regarding these horrific acts of terrorism. From this action, beauty can rise from the ashes.
May God protect these poor people.:groupray:

HAve been and will be praying. But I have one question. Why is it that everyone will pray for all the people who were killed or traumatized, but noone ever thinks of praying for those of whom did these acts? Just because the acts weren't nice or good doesn't mean that God cares less for them than he does for the victims. What about Paul (previously known as Saul of Tarsus)?

Hi Mystery4,

Valid point! Yes, some of the most important characters in the Bible are those who have committed acts of cruelty: David who was a murderer and adulterer, Peter who denied his association with Jesus when he was arrested, Paul who had believers in Jesus dragged out of their homes and thrown in prison. Yet, these men were still given grace to stand as representatives of God.

In this situation, the men who had killed the children were Muslims, and clearly believe in a different god who condones capital punishment for those who will not turn to their God.

As for what religion they were I do not know but that Muslims do believe in the God of Abraham but they have him (his personality) all wrong. And Bevlina, please do try to forgive them for what they have done. I know it is going to be hard. Some people who were very close to me once betrayed me pretty bad. The pain, loneliness, and hatred I had helped to get me to consider giving up on everything. In my darkest hour God stopped me from ruining my life forever and doing what I considered to be my only other option than suicide, and showed me what I really needed to do. Forgive like God forgives us and put the past behind me. It took a lot of heartache for me to learn this but in the end I know God was watching over me the whole time. Please if not for them for yourself and God's glory.

True...true only1, but, I have been where you have been and come through in the same fashion...excluding any thoughts of suicide though.
Fact is, I would have given my life for my children. Most mothers feel the same. And I know women are the hardest to control when the danger of their children under their wings is in jeopardy. It's hard to know how we would react, but I do know that once, when a neighbour turned a pack of galloping horses in the direction of where my little boy aged 4 (at that time)was standing I fired a shot over their heads in order to change their direction and save his life.

We mother's are human beings and react as mother's do if our child is in danger. I don't know how I'd truly react in a case like that in Russia. It was so senseless.
