Just like the US you mean?

I don't see how this will affect the future. Every arms-producingcountry sells weapons to 'rogue'-nations. Hell, the US sells weapons to Saudi-Arabia, the home and the birthplace of wahabit-islam.

-edit-

And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

I think you're referring to events 20 years ago...the middle east has changed a lot since then. I think the issue isn't that Russia sold them arms because I would agree with you that the U.S. did as well. The issue is that it appears this was fairly recent and that they worked with Saddam to pull them out at the last minute and help destroy records before the coalition got there.

Yes, so they won't be publically embarassed.

It's common knowlegde though that they sympathized with the highly secular, overly socialist Saddam. I don't see where to put this news. It's not relevant in my eyes.

Do tell me, in what way did the Middle-East change?

I'm not sure sympathized is the word I would use...more like profited from...Here in the states, this is VERY relevant as accusations have been going back and forth about our letting insurgents take these weapons after we supposedly invaded Iraq. If in fact, Russia took them before we got there, a lot of people are going to have egg on their face.

Regarding the middle east...are you suggesting things haven't changed? Governments have changed, economies have changed, and who's good and who's bad has changed.

If you see an iraqi debt of 7 billion dollar as a profit....

Well now you have your scapegoat. ;)

Well you said that 'the situation' has really changed in the Middle-East. You insinuated that helping Saddam has become bad in a way because of the changing situation. The only major political change that has happened in Iraq is that Saddam stopped supporting the US when he got doublecrossed, by the US. Why should Russia let the US determine it's agenda?

Other changes are not relevant to this political issue.
