The last month my lesbian partner had an abortion which was an answer to prayer.

As at this point we could not answer in the negative to this as it would be considered debate to dissuade the person then all the person would get is answers that are promotional....

I don't really think so... for me, a promotion would be when someone encouraged others to do something, not helping someone who has already made a decision.

Why sad? It's just that the morality of it can't be discussed in any way... It can't be promoted, but it also can't be condenmed.

So CF now is officially morally neutral about abortion, polygamy, transexuality, extra-marital sex and drug use?


That's sad and extremely dissapointing.


I could not encourage Christians to come to this type of morally indecisive site under the guise that they are entering a "Christian" forum.

I have encouraged others to come here before... this change will change my practice.

CF is a website mostly for Christians... and as long as Christians can't decide if something is right or wrong, it's good that both sides can express their views. And things like, for example, transsexuality, are considered to be wrong only by some Christians.

Yes yes & yes ..... there is a Catholic icon by your name am I right and did you just say that homosexuality was not morally offensive to God? Just asking for clarification here..... As I want to make clear that according to the Church and Her Teachings it is....

Not offensive to all Christians. And not offensive to me. If its offensive to God then that is between God and the homosexual. If there is no victim we have no right to intervene in or judge another person's walk through this life. That is for God to do.

CF is a website - by itself it is neutral. It is the people and the membership that has opinions on issues - CF as a site is not here to tell Christians what to believe or what not to believe - Christianity is much too big for that - Christians are expected to study the Bible for themselves to discover the truth for themselves - this website is not here to tell Christians what is truth. Sure, the PEOPLE who come to this website may discuss what is considered truth, but the site itself will have no objective stances on these issues, basically because this site is merely a vehicle - you drive it where you believe God wants you to drive it.

This does not mean I don't have my own opinion on an issue. Nor does it mean that each individual member or staff member does not have his or her own opinion on an issue. The point is CF as a whole, as a website, as a community, cannot have just ONE opinion on an issue - this is a community, and as such, would have the opinions of all of its members, whether you as an individual agree or disagree with it.

This does not mean this site is going to become a non-Christian site - far from it - the membership are by far mainly Christian - it is important to note that these Christians do come from different backgrounds - this site is not here to replace God, the Bible or their church and tell them what to believe.

Anyway, this thread is going way OT - what we are discussing now has little relation to the rule revision which actually relaxes the posting of the restricted topics, and in fact, reduces the restriction. The rule neither condemns nor support any of the issues - the rule merely is there to assist in the regulation of such discussions between members.
