I recently ordered a rosary from Rugged Rosaries. For those who don’t know about this company, they have medals you can attach to your rosary. After I ordered the rosary I decided I wanted a St. Jude medal to attach to it. My priest blessed the rosary already but I don’t have the medal yet. When it arrives, should I get the medal blessed too, or is the rosary blessing enough to “cover” my medal? I want to pray with it now, but if I should get the medal blessed when it comes in, I want to wait to use it until it’s all blessed. I know this sounds scrupulous but, well, that’s me.

I think it's OK to have both blessed. I like that company. I do realize though that I probably didn't need to order rosaries from them, since the churches have them for free in their vestibules. I realize that I have things that I've ordered from Catholic websites that were never blessed. I kind of assumed that since they're from a Catholic company, I didn't even have to worry about them being blessed. I think I was wrong, lol.

Oh. Darn. Well it isn't too hard to get your items blessed is it? If your priest "won't" do it, there's always a priest who will.

Take the rosary and medals to be blessed. That would be ok!

I had medals that been blessed, when I had new medals added, I had them blessed again etc

It's all good!

You can pray with it now, it's all good!

It couldn't hurt to have the medal blessed too, just for uniformity. I'm a fan of Rugged Rosaries, I had one of their paracord rosaries early on when I was in RCIA, I can't remember what happened to it though. It definitely didn't break so I must've been careless and lost it which is terrible.

Maybe someone found it and gave it a good home? I have a couple other RR rosaries. I like the company and someone who works there is sending me the medal for free since I inquired how much would it cost to have the medal added after I already ordered the rosary.

I have a rugged rosary with the EO cross on it. I haven't gotten it blessed yet.

I wonder where my "Warrior Rosary" is especially after the move.

I'm pretty sure I've used it several times before.
