Yes, Kenshin is awesome...
I personally like the mangas better than the anime, for one they are a little more historically accurate and for another reason, kaoru doesn't act like a bull in rage all the time.
I actually really like the movies, you should watch them...though they are a bit bloody. At least the first one is, I mean that one is about kenshin's time as a soldier. it's kinda sad though....made both me and my brother cry.

I loved the first OVA! Hitokiri Kenshin rules!

I like the mangas better as well, but not for the same reasons. I just like the Jinchuu arc.

The RuroKen Saitou is cool, too. I just like the PeaceMaker one better for some reason. I always laughed when he was around.

Lol, my little brother's first favorite anime was DBZ, I think. He had an obsession, but I hated the show! I was more of a Sailor Moon gal.

Her birthday is coming up so i went and bought her the one called Reflection, but i was reading some reviews and most kenshin fans didn't like it. So I was thinking of getting her another one, waht do u guys suggest? which one of the OVA's should i get her?

I liked Reflection because it showed some of the Jinchuu Arc (it was in the manga, but didn't appear on the anime), but since I don't know your friend, I suggest you go with Trust & Betrayal: The Director's Cut. It has two OVAs in it, so your friend will only need Reflectin to complete the OVA collection!

Trust and Betrayal are both about Kenshin's past, Reflection is about his future. So ask yourself which do you think she would find most interesting and give her that!

Hahaha, I'm a weird Kenshin fan, I don't like Kaoru! Something about her hitting Kenshin just ticks me off. I like Tomoe better... but of course, she's dead.
