  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Inspiration for the writing of my comments came when reading and hearing the "root cause" phrase being used by President Bush and Secretary of State Rice in news reports pertaining to ongoing Middle East conflicts:

===================================
July 2006
WASHINGTON — President George W. Bush said, "What we recognize is that the 'root cause' of the problem is Hezbollah. And that problem must be addressed ... by making it clear to Syria that they've got to stop their support to Hezbollah."

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said, "It is important to deal with the 'root cause' of the violence."
===================================

The "root cause" for hatred between the sons of Abraham and their descendants has a biblical explanation!

The "root cause" for conflicts in the Middle East can be traced to "Satan." The "root cause" for terrorism, the war in Iraq, the war in Lebanon, and what will ultimately lead to "Armageddon" should be identified as a spiritual war between good and evil.

If politicians assume that "cease-fire" is possible once the "root cause" has been identified and removed, they must be willing to destroy every friend of Satan who is enabling those who are willing to become stone throwers, suicide bombers, launchers of missiles, media deceivers -- and/or other degenerates who agitate, falsely accuse and torment their neighbors.

We have daily doses of deception coming out of the ugly faces of Demoncrats who like to blame President Bush and other Republicans for all of the evil being done in the world today! Do these troublemakers who speak without wisdom not understand -- "A house divided against itself cannot stand?" If America is going to put a stop to aggression against peace-loving societies, we must draw our strength from unity as "one nation under God."

It is the Russians, the Chinese, the Iranians, the Syrians -- and their comrades in various nations that are the "root cause" for wars in Iraq and Lebanon.

If we want to enjoy Life on this planet without all of the unnecessary tragedy and grief that comes from rebellion against God, there is only one way to destroy the "root cause." We need an international move of the Holy Spirit that will prick the conscience of every enemy, and prompt them to repent of sin. Then, and only then, should talk of "ceasefire" be taken seriously. Then, and only then, should we lay down our arms and stop destroying those who want to destroy us!

As a Christian, I recommend that President Bush change his policies to conform with reality. The wars in Iraq and Lebanon can be won only after Syria and Iran are forced to make "regime changes." Prior to this move back to sanity, Russia, China and North Korea must be neutralized -- either voluntarily or through the use of nuclear force.

The art of "diplomacy" is no longer a meaningful -- viable option!

I honestly think that there will be more wars and more victories.
