  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My fiance (boyfriend at the time) and I went out for our 2 year anniversary. We got all dressed up and went to the Chanhassen dinner theatre to see The Sound of Music. We ate dinner and then I wanted to go look at some pictures outside of the theatre but Josh wouldn't go with me, kinda strange. So, we sat at the table waiting for the show to begin. I had been waiting quite a while for a proposal but I was convinced he would not do it on our anniversary, so while we waited for the show to start I was playfully teasing him about taking so long to propose to me. Then the announcer came out to introduce the show, he started saying happy birthday to people in the audience and then he said "Tonight we have a very special treat because Josh ____ would like to ask his girlfriend Jill a very special question" They put the spotlight on us and Josh got down on one knee in front of 550 people and said "Jill we've been going out for 2 years now, and I love you very much, will you marry me?" I said yes really quick and I was bawling my head off. I have never been that shocked in my life, 5 minutes earlier I was teasing him about not proposing yet, and then he did! He didn't know when the announcer would come out so that's why he made us stay at the table. It was really cool :)

My husband (of 4 days) proposed to me at the Sam Wise youth Complex, where I used to play softball. It was November 5th, 2001 and it was a really clear night. You could see the northern lights, I live in Iowa, so we don't see them often. He started asking me really weird questions, then pulled out the ring box and proposed. We just got married on Saturday (11-29-03)

Yeah Matt asked me in a helicopter from Seaworld over the Gold Coast. I wondered why he wouldn't stop looking at me and look at the view out the window, and then i got my hand and pulled out the ring and out in on my finger :) Unfortunately my headpiece wasn't working and so he couldn't hear me say YES!! We are getting married on Januart 24th 2004. Can't wait!!:)

It was a Wednesday night on our college campus. We were both seniors. Jeremy came to my dorm and asked if I wanted to go for a walk, he had his guitar with him. We ended up going to our special bench (where we first said 'I love you'). When we sat down Jeremy played a *sweet* song on his guitar called "Butterfly" by the Choir. Being on the newspaper team for our university, he had the new paper that was put to print that very night....well, he pulled out the first copy for me to see. On the back page was a picture of us together with the caption reading ..."Barbara N., will you marry me? I love you." After my shock of reading the paper, he reached into the quitar box for the engagement ring. I said yes, of course! We've been married for 4 years and 3 months now. I have truly been blessed with a wonderful husband.

Mine asked me while I was driving down the road. ^_^ Well, he didn't really ask, he just blurted out "Let's go get married". ROFL I was so shocked that I slammed on the brakes in the middle of the road (good thing nobody was behind me) and said "Excuse me? What did you just say?". It was shocking b/c we'd been going out for a couple years and both have been divorced and had stated to each other we would never get married again. Obviously, God softened our hearts and brought us together and we were married a few months later.
