Haha, no I don't have to worry about that med yet and won't be for awhile!

Then you're ahead of the game compared to some of the girls I graduated High School with.

And that was 12 years ago.

Well I can tell all of you from a perspective of personal experience that child birth is the most excruciating pain of one's life, but it is not something hideous it is the most beautiful thing a person can go through (hopefully later for you). And yes, they do have some rockin' meds. lol=)!!

on the serious side...

Yes we all die because of sin, but thankfully we can ask for forgiveness through Jesus and repent. Returning in our meant form immortal to live forever with Him.

That is really interesting. I did not know the we died because of their sins. So now because of Eve, Im going to have pain during childbirth and I have to die. lol

that is the initial reason, but since sin entered the world, we also have the capacity, tendency and the will to sin (as seen in everyday life), so we can't really blame it all on Eve and Adam, as we also choose to sin.

Thanks a whole friggin' bunch, EVE! Because of her, I get to experience a WONDERFUL period every three weeks. Whoopee. But I don't mean for the thread to become a period rant, by the way. Heh heh.

I f I get married and ever get the desire to have a kid, I'm adopting. Hands down, no changing my mind. I have my reasons.

If they had never sinned we would all have lived forever and not have died.

That's a whole lot of burdan to place. What would have happened if Adam and Eve had not sinned, but one of their children decided to eat the apple? Don't forget, regardless of if we were born with original sin or not, we all still would have free will to eat the apple if we choose.

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death to all men, because all sinned." Romans 5:12

So, is this saying that because Adam and Eve sinned is the reason why we die? Or does the death mean hell?

The way to approach this is to ask what happened to Adam and Eve when they sinned.

God had said they would die the day they ate it. And before nightfall, Adam and Eve have been banished from Eden and the presence of God. In Eden, God is so present as to be presented as tangible - "walking in the garden in the cool of the evening". Never again does God get described like that. Estrangement is what the death is - seperation from the source of life - God. Spiritual death.

That's my thoughts on the matter.

just a quick note on Ro. 5:12 and the disappointment/anger/etc people often feel about having another's sin (ie Adam and Eve's) reckoned to our account..... if the process of this imputation is in and of itself unjust and ought not be practiced, just remember that this would also mean that we could not have Christ's righteousness and work on the cross imputed to us either....

as was mentioned, we can be thankful that while there is sin, and we all have to live with the effects of that sin, there is a remedy to sin and death, as Paul also said (Rom 7:24-25a NIV) What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? {25} Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!..."
