Moses commanded a snake to to sculpted and God commanded cherubim to be sculpted in the most holy place. God also commanded that the curtains of the tabernacle be decorated with images of cherubim. Perhaps the problem you noted is more in the way you interpret than it is in the way that Catholics do.I have no idea how they can twist the scripture in regards to graven images so they can sculpt, y'know, graven likenesses of Mary and the saints.
I make no defense for the Protestants except that they learned from the best, after all they were only recently Catholics; their mother was a murderer. Will you now try and convince me that to mention your costume is a non-sequitur reply, you are sadly mistaken. Most people are blind to the fact that they are in love with the idea of killing and chaos. Look around! All the best games, movies, TV programs are based on pain, the occult, distress, tragedy, war, and if their excitement has no blood shed or human suffering it is boring. Your costume very much makes a statement of where your heart is. Even in conversations such as this, it is not enough to win, we must be overly painful in our words. It is a condition of the heart. Satan cares little whether we are Catholic or Protestant, he loves a good fight. Having said that, I give the fight to you.

Did they bow to such images? No.
Yes, the high priest was commanded to bring offerings into the most holy place, the blood of a sacrifice. He was to offer it before the ark and on its lid at the feet under the wings of the cherubim.Did they bow to such images? No.

Read the books of Moses at least. Doing that will help you to understand the new testament.Ah okay, I haven't gone through the Old Testament very much. Just an opinion, but it seems like a poor defense for allowing icons (statues) into the Church. To make any likeness of Christ would be to mock His very holiness.
A simple google search will tell you why Catholics and Orthodox Christians believe that "images" are okay. Why not read some of that material?Ah okay, I haven't gone through the Old Testament very much. Just an opinion, but it seems like a poor defense for allowing icons (statues) into the Church. The Seventh Day Adventists I met were into Bible studies. Resting on the seventh day (Saturday) is Biblical. Many of them are vegetarians. Researchers found there is a large cluster of people 100 years old or older in Loma Linda, California. This is a town with a large number of Seventh Day Adventist members. A medical study of Seventh Day Adventist vegans showed they lived significantly longer than non-smoking people who ate average American diets.I agree that the Seventh-Day Adventists are unbiblical. (Not like I agree with the Catholic church but I'll agree with whatever I agree with.)

I kiss a photograph of my deceased mother. I suppose that means that I am worshiping her as a god. It's one thing to have a sculpture of something. It's another thing to bow in front of it, kiss its feet, anoint it with oil, etc.
Then why are you Presbyterian?to answer the original question of the OP, yes.
it is indeed wrong for any congregation who claims to follow Christ, regardless of it's size, to disregard the Scriptures in their practice.
Then why are you Presbyterian?
Maybe we could ask these sola scripturists.
Behold the great Reformers!
Let us stay with the topic at hand. Understanding the Bible is essential, but you cannot begin to do that if you haven't yet figured out where the truth is to be found.Getting agreement about what's supposed to be included in the bible is too difficult for Christians so how much harder is it to credibly claim that the bible is complete and sufficient?
