  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why was jesus not lord of the dead until rom 14:9?
Isn't that a contrast to the Gospel saying "God is the god of the living, not the dead?"

I'd say the resurrection has the most to do with it. Since Jesus went there and overcame, he was then Lord, previously, God had not incarnated.

Dead here means those who "sleep". The body dies, but spirit keeps living. And Jesus' body was raised from the dead, just as those who believe in him, even if they die, they will live.

Rom 14:9 "For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living."

A gifted Christian woman named Kat Kerr was shown that during the three days in the grave...... Messiah Yeshua - Jesus voluntarily went into Hades...........

Satan had planned to torture him on the third day but.......

at his resurrection Messiah Yeshua - Jesus really hit the fallen angels hard and took the keys of Hades and Death from Satan........

That idea made sense to me?!

God never reincarnated. He was RESURRECTED. And Jesus was always Lord because He was God on Earth.
