Studying. Does 5 pages of 52 count as getting studying done? That's pretty much what I did. Fortunately, 4 classes were cancelled this week, so I don't have to read the stuff. Yet. Did you do anything exciting today?

Worked, cooked dinner, washed dishes...read some. Pretty normal day...I hate normal. I want to ride a roller coaster!!

Hi all, I'm back. For how long, I don't know . . .

T4J - encourage that love of jazz & bluegrass. If possible, stick a mandolin in his hands too - you can find 'em in both types of music and it's fun to play.

Her hands. Yes she loves the guitar, as did I at her age, well actually I still do, but I also love the piano, sax, violin. She mostly enjoys smooth jazz but will listen to anything I play.

My oldest daughter played the sax, she was actually very good at it. After high school, she put it down and that was it.

Oops, sorry. It'd be a novelty for her to play mandolin, not too many women do.

But playing guitar is pretty cool too (and I don't have a personal bias in that, at all, at all ).

I think she quit because where she started college (didn't last long there ) didn't have a band. She then sold her sax (which killed me, I had bought that soon after her Dad left). Kids!! My youngest played the flute and piccalo. I loved that they were both in the band in middle and high schools.

ETA: I am blessed in the fact that my oldest daughter's b/f is a music major at USC. He plays piano beautifully. In fact as a gift from them they took me to the LA Philharmonic. It was fantastic.
