Thanks all,

It's just all of the hollidays [I think haveing them all at one time of year was a plot by happily married people:p ] I hate this time of year, and of course the New Year traditionof "reflecting on the past" just makes things worse.
I look back some times and feel like I missed out on something everyone else did't.:sigh:

BUT!!! I will "Overcome" !

PRAISE BE TO GOD in all things:holy:

I understand, Friend, I sure do...

I do not even "do" the holidays...just send my kids over to their other families to do it with them. I am usually alone every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. I always do Halloween/Harvest festival with them, though.

hey FJD,

define "nonsequitor" I've heard of it, but I don't understand how it's used in discussion.

...and as I understand it, you're a lawyer, too?

so yeah, I'm nosy... :p

ETA: it's been raining for nearly 3 days, and we're getting high waters/flooding throughout Salem. I live about 1/4 mile from a creek, and we're having high water signs nearby. yipes.
