Does anyone remember this football hero from the 70's? I never knew much about him when he was around. In second grade we had to choose from a list of heros. I think the choices were like Snoopy, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Roger Staubach, and a couple of others. My favorite out of those was Winnie, but someone convinced me it should be Staubach, even though I knew absolutely nothing about him. But I accepted him. 
My grandmother told me a story about him when he was first starting with the Cowboys. He was selected over another player. When the players were walking back to the locker rooms, the other guy (who had long blonde hair) hit Staubach in the back of the the head and started a fight with him. She told it like she was there. Now, it seems like a typical dumb thing you would expect from two jocks. But I also wonder if it really happened, and what exactly happened. Weird.
