  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When I first saw the commercials for that movies I was soooo hyped about it.
But the movie was a let down for me.
It had some great moments, but I think it was a little miscasted, and not the best writting in the world.
Not a bad movie, but not what I had expected.

Now for the topic question.
That was one of the few scenes that got a reaction from the audience where I watched it.
It was a funny little scene.
I don't think it hurt or helped this movie.

the movie is a masterpiece of pulp noir film making. sin city as written and drawn by frank miller is unique for its graphic art (not violence). it's starkly black and white, but all the characters are in the gray area except the bad guys who are die-hard bad guys. the movie was a testament to miller's vision and rodriguez's technical and creative know-how. tarantino's input is hilarious and actually is a breather from the hard core violence of the rest of the film.
