DILETTA ​

With ailment though of grave concern
She walks God’s chosen way
So young and yet she’s come to learn
That death could call each day​

She walks the walk but not alone
She speaks of life so sweet
Seeking advice from Heaven’s throne
Sitting at Jesus’ feet​

Though Satan’s out to cheat and kill
Though life seems not too fair
She knows she’s in her Saviour’s will
She knows she’s in His care​

She knows The Shepherd’s guiding voice
She’s learned the art to fight
She’s made God’s Son her life long choice
And knows His way is right​

With daily song of God’s true love
With joyful foot astride
With searching eye now trained above
She walks as Jesus’ bride​

Through Jesus’ blood now born again
She’s fled the devil’s jaws
With head held high through gloom and pain
She aims for Heaven’s Doors​

With love and warmth in constant flow
Faithful her sacred vow
Radiating her Saviour’s glow
Hand firm upon His Plough ​

Whatever now this life may bring
What future God has planned
Eternity will see her sing
Within The Promised Land​

POLITICALLY INCORRECT
Has death the right to wear a crown?
Has Satan right to reign?
Did Love not tear these kingdoms down?
And give us hope again

Though knowledge flows in rising streams
Though man has conquered space
Salvation’s still a place of dreams
And not God’s Land of grace

Demonic ranks persist to grow
Religion seems divine
While churches argue to and fro
Partaking bread and wine

Has darkness brought about our fall?
Has faith and wisdom flown
Should not the church heed Heaven’s call?
Should Christ not claim His own?

“Politically it’s incorrect”
“We’re not to say such things”
Is this the call to God’s elect?
Christ’s bride of priests and kings

How sad the worldly eye’s so dim
Her hearing’s grown so weak
Her children’s grown so cold to Him
Of whom the angels speak

Let’s lift the name of Jesus high
Let’s stand in one accord
Rescue our neighbours ere they die
And glorify The Lord

Let’s read again the book of acts
Consider children lost
Reveal to them The Truth and facts
Regardless of the cost
