this music rocks, but i was just wondering, would God want you to support something like this? i know this sounds a bit extreme but would it be a sin to support a cause like this?
edit: in case you didnt know what it is it is a group of bands rocking against bush as the name suggests, check out www.punkvoter.com for more

These "Rock Against" things are pretty gimmicky. I don't think there is anything wrong with expressing yourself in any respect, politically included, in music. But with that needs to come the realization that you are going to alienate 50% of the population. So don't go crying foul when people get upset on message boards or stop buying your music.

So yeah. All that to say that I am against the gimmick... profiting on protest. But i am not against political expressions in music.

I saw let them keep whining all they want. It's not like he's gonna get voted out of office.

Really though, you would be supporting bands that don't line up with some Christians politically. Big deal. I'd think you'd burn for liking some of those cr@ppy punk bands, rather than for supporting their anti-Bush stance. :p

Umm...Bush is in office, I don't really see how rocking against him is going to do anything now...but that might just be because I understand how the American political system works...

Yea...because all those recounts that Al Gore demanded (even though he was only legally allowed to demand one) that deemed Bush the winner were totally biased. :sorry:

Yes, a downright shame that our Supreme Court selected him; and that the final tally declared him Florida's winner as well. Such rubbish. :) :)

It's a joke how he won the popular vote and the electoral vote last year...like how could they do that??? Obviously he shouldn't be president...I mean, it would be more punk rock to subvert the election and just have whomever punk wants be president.

P.S. - My name probably needs an elephant next to it.
