Money talks with the networks, I guess. I always thought there were laws against scams, but buying religious time from networks undoubtedly falls under a different set of rules that can be taken advantage of by those that would make merchandise of the flock.Duggie said:The thing that most disturbs me about this situation is the fact that a television network will provide a platform for people like Tilton. Surely they must have some integrity. How can one justify promoting a ministry that is quesionable? The network that supplies this man is just as much at fault, in my opinion.
From the way the world is shaping up and the loss of ground for us Christians with no "in God we trust" slowly becoming the state of America, we will probably not see Christian programming, at all, in a few years. The Church must pray for this country, but judgment is surely coming on a land that has murdered several generations of unborn children.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach their destructive heresies about God and even turn against their Master who bought them. Theirs will be a swift and terrible end.
2 Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of them, Christ and his true way will be slandered.
3 In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction is on the way.
