Road to the Grail

Hey Luke!  (Darrions told me your name. I though I'd tell you, so you don't get freaked out.)

I have a question for you Luke. Since Managant(my character) is a bad-guy I was wondering if I could have him combine the Orcs, Goblins, Dragon etc. together and then attack the group on their way to the Grail.(It'll be near the end, though. Like, the last battle or something.) I wanted to ask you if that was okay, sonce Grishnack is the King of the orcs and the Goblins, and they're kinda your characters.

I need another character.

Rebecca walked into the village. She got many looks and glares. Some that said, "ew" and others that said, "We don't want you here." Rebecca ignored them, and continued walking. Little did she know of the two brown eyes that were watching close by.

Is the first one, our age? I have no idea what the second one is.

The figure moved silently about the forest, jumping over logs, and doging trees almost in complete silence. They came to a villiage , hidden deep within the thick forest. The figure made it's way into the villiage.
"Robin! Finally. We was bigining to worry about you. Where you been?" a man from the camp asked. The figure removed their hood.
"I've been out walking." Robin said, removing his cloak.
"Well, hurry up and eat your dinna befow it get's cowld." the man(known as Little John) said.
"No thank you John. I have something I must see to." Robin said, hiding his bow in a hollow stick, he used every now and then. Robin got an old, dirty cloak and put it on.
"I'll be back shortly." he said, and walked off.

Robin entered the villiage he'd seen the rather unusual group enter. As he walked around the villiage, he spotted each member walking alone. Robin's eyes fell upon a young woman with long blonde hair, and light-skin. Her cloak was stained with the color of blood around the uper back. Something about her was familliar. He followed her around, keeping his distance, turning the other way, if she turned her head.
Once when she turrned around, he turrned also. But he looked back at her, and their gaze met for a moment. He suddenly remembered who she was.
Roxanne! But what is she doing here in England? Robin turrned down an ally, and ran to the other end of it. There he waited in the shadows, until he saw her go by. She stopped a few feet away from him. He waited. She turrned and seemed to look right at him.
"Why are you following me?" she demanded. Robin grabbed her by the hand, and pulled into the ally. She struggled to get free, but his grip was to strong. She tried to scream, but he covered her mouth.
"Shh. It's okay. Now don't strggle and this wont hurt."

g2g! Will finish later!

"Shh. It's okay. Now don't struggle and it wont hurt..."

Rebecca continued to struggle. The person tried to tell her to tust him, but she shut his words from her mind.
"It's okay. You can trust me...Roxanne." he whispered. Rebecca stopped trying to wrigle free. Robin removed his hand from her mouth.
"Who are you?" she asked. Robin let her go. She turrned to face him.
"You saved my life around eight years ago. You trusted me then, so trust me now." he said. Rebecca starred at him for a moment. Then it suddenly hit her.
"Robin!" she almost shouted. She smiled extended her arms around his neck in a friendly hug. When she backed away, she asked.
"Why didn't you say it was you in the first place? My goodness! You've grown up."
" Thanks. And to answer your question, there's a slightly big price on my head. I'm famous here you know.And if you hadn't help me escape that night, I would never have gotten my fame." Rebecca smiled.
"Well, I thought you were innocent." she said.
"Roxanne, ever since that night, I have been in debt to you for saving my life. I guess the least I can do, is offer you and your friends a safe place for the night, or however long you wish to stay." Robin said.
"That's nice of you. I'll ask Even. Oh, and um, it's Rebecca."
"What?"
"I'll explain later. For now, call me Rebecca. Come. I'll find Even and tell him of your generous offer."

Henry looked around the villiage. He would occasionaly see someone from the group, but he would pay them no heed, since they were to stay...undercover. Henry turrned down another street and stopped. He'd seen Rebecca, and then she'd dissapeared. Henry walked around, and suddenly heard her voice comming from an ally. Henry walked on by, but stopped long enough to listen, incase she needed help. He soon got the impression that she was talking toa friend, so he left her alone, and looked for Even.

Grimr, is Grishnack in the villiage with the group, or ina different villiage?

A mysterious shadow, creeped about a small villiage, in search for a group, that was said to be in search of the Holy Grail. Suddenly, he spotted Even, the Kings son. He was said to be the leader. The shadow walked up to Even and whispered, "Hello my King. I am Alkorod, son of a noble Prince who was slain for the protection of my family. I have heard of your noble quest and I wish to go with you. My brother desires to destroy what you seek, and I desire to look upon the Holy Grail. Please, allow me to join you. My sword and my service are yours to the very end."

Okay, Josh, you can post next.

Arannte stayed mounted as her horse snuffed the wind, anxiously. She shut her eyes, and suddenly, things came into her minds eye.
First, a wave of mixed colors and shapes greeted her knowledge, but she quickly sorted them out. She looked at the first thing that was urging for her attention. It was Rebecca, and a stranger. She could hear them talking, but it was in a friendly way. Satisfied, she looked to the next. Henry, and she knew he was nearby. A bunch of other isolated events occuring around her. And she could sense a darker, more evil picture tugging at the edges of her mind, and she concentrated on it.
Thranduil stood tall among the ruined spires of the village, and Nightmare wondered that his mistress be so suddenly silent. But all around her mind, there hung a tapestry depicting her worst fears. Ogroks, and ninety of them. Bloodhounds.
She drew a deep breath, and once again thanked her born ability to sense what was happening around her.
She opened her eyes, and then, she saw, filling her entire field of vision, a ring of light. Her jaw dropped. How had they snuck in so close already? She blinked, and the lights were gone.
But she could feel it...they were after her. The sprites of Chyska were still waiting for her to become unwary, to slip into their net.
She wheeled her horse, and Nightmare clattered down the stone ramp that reached to the crown of the now decaying tower.
She settled into a trot, and she sensed Even nearby. The stranger she'd sensed was with Rebecca still, but she would need to get to higher ground if she was to be able to sense more clearly what was going on.
She could hear the little voice in her head speak to her, and she listened. The Ogroks were closer.
She shrugged. Ninety would be no problem if they had but a few more fighters. The heavy, less agile beasts lacked much of the independant intelligence normal humans...and born magician's did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, just bringing Arannte's magic more into perspective. She was born with it, but swore she wouldn't use it except in times of dire need. So she's using it now. It lets her sense scenarios in the past and the present, and she can view something that is happening thousands of miles away. She doesn't use her magic heavily, but it can be used to heal, to make something sleep, and even shoot lightning, but she hates to do that.
:D
Everyone seemed to have recieved some signal to meet, at least briefly--with every other person in seperate parts of town. Arannte dismounted and crept close to Rebecca, who was walking with Robin, the stranger.
Robin?! Who on earth-- her thinking was inturrupted by voices.
Evan was there too, and Henry. They were conversing. Once Henry had faded back into the shadows, Arannte approached to within a whisker of Rebecca when her instincts told her to duck.
An arrow struck the wood beam a hairsbreadth from her ear, and she felt a brief flash of wind before she had rolled over and tapped Rebecca on her heel.
She spun, and looked down in surprise. "Tell whoever that guy is that I'm with you, and that that was a nice shot."
Rebecca was alarmed for a moment, and then stifled a laugh. Robin smiled. "A lucky chance you ducked."
Arannte glared at him. "Look before you leap, mister."
Then she slid back into the shadows and was next to Even. "Reporting in, sah." she said softly, and he nodded. "Stick around. I have a bad feeling."
"The Ogroks are on their way." she added, the voice in her head a little louder. "They are sent to hunt us down."
Even shot a look her way. "Are you sure?"
"Quite. We had better prepare for a fight."
"Any suggestions?"
"I would suggest talking to Rebecca and Robin, but the tower of Thranduil seems like a good place."
Even hmmed and then Robin and Rebecca faded out of the twilight and walked up, keeping to the darker shadows.
just wondering, what're the separate groups doing?
and isn't it just a bit too much that a whole army's going against a few individuals? shouldn't we have armies of our own against them?
----
Elrea watched with distaste as the griffins flew out of Grishnack's domain. There was no way that they could easily derailed those who were seeking the Holy Grail, for they had God's protection. Besides, orcs and goblins were stupid, you couldn't trust them with anything besides the sheer number that made up their strenght, well, with proper handling one could get the "army" to accomplish "something", but she seriously doubted it. There weren't enough good generals to dish around.
Pulling the cloak around her, she turned from the spot.
well, then we'll see. :) sounds good plan.
----
Nyanie, Rylan and their group paused, there seemed to be a calling from somewhere, and it wasn't hostile. Nyanie guessed that it must be Arannte, so she didn't hesitate. Rylan nodded and followed. Just before they reached the ruined tower, they realized that the forest was bursting with the enemies.
"Quick, this way!" Rylan shouted, and the group rode hard towards the other direction, they had been cut off from the group at the tower.
Arannte could hear the voices again. And this time they wouldn't let her dismiss them. "The enemy approaches!" She hissed, and immediately, two shafts were on her string before Even could draw his sword.
Robin had arrow to string as well, and Rebecca's sword was glinting coldly in the pre-dawn light. Henry was in full battle mode, sword and dagger poised for the first stab.
"Don't worry." Arannte said, aware that they already had started.
They formed a circle, facing out. Arannte was mounted, using all of the height she could get to have an advantage over her enemy.
The first wave of five Ogroks approached, and Even signalled that they slay them quietly, by stalking.
They split up, each taking a mark on their opponant.
Arannte could sense her Ogrok in the dark, and she could also sense his surroundings and tell whether or not he'd seen her. So far, so good. She took him silently with a shaft to the throat, and he dropped in a heap.
Robin took his similerly, and Even and Henry took theirs out with only minor mishaps.
Rebecca was mounted on Mystic, her sword aimed at her Ogrok's head when another leapt out of the darkness, slashing at her horse's [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse].
Mystic shied and bucked, and Rebecca clung to the reins, almost falling off.
One of the Ogrok's muttered angrily, and another group of five emerged. Rebecca finished off the origional one, before her sword clattered from her hand and she tumbled to the paved ground.
The rest of the group came leaping, and Rebecca regained her sword. The rest handled the other Ogroks, while Arannte sounded her horn.
The deep sound echoed over the hills, and the rest of the Ogroks could be seen rushing their way.
"To the tower!" Someone shrieked, and they fled through the night.
