What spirit is saying what. It may be ten years of wonderful work of the devil that turns a institution into reading the Word wrong. I'm not saying this is the case for your assembly, but that it is very possible and happens more now then before.

If you were there, and open to the leading of the Spirit yourself, you would have little doubt as to which spirit it is. I believe that only those who are
Spirit-led can truly discern the Spirit. I know that it has been my privilege to see the Spirit leading a group of Spirit-filled Christians in the direction they are to go.

It used to be difficult to get in the churches no it is very easy. I refering to believing one is saved, one must only say they believe in Jesus and not run a life that shows it. LIBERALISM. As in saved by Grace so i can live as i wish as long as I'm not to bad a person or as long as i do enough good works.

I have spent most of my life in Liberal churches and never heard this preached. I hear it more from evangelical TV preachers than from any Liberal pulpit.

As one who has grown up in very conservative churches, Glaudys, I can assure you that I have heard that liberal churches are all about that type of "Christianity" and usually with the little "quotes" implied right in.

It just goes to show we really need to get to know one another better. Although my formal church membership has usually been in liberal churches, I have had a good many contacts with more evangelical Christians, so I have been thankfully spared from developing stereotypes of either. I know super-models of Christian living from all quarters of the theological spectrum. When all is said and done, we really have much more in common than we think.

One with less faith, one who is less devout, and one who is more likely to have 'bad doctrine'. When they find that in every matter that counts, we believe exactly the same thing, it throws a match on the strawman.
