It’s better in person, and generally free, it’s easier to ask questions.
All catholic parishes run such a programme.
I went through RCIA 20 years ago.

If you are going to become a member of the Roman Catholic Church, which is what the rcia is for, then I would suggest talking to the priest in your local RCC church.
I would have nothing to do with on line courses, unless because of covid, they were being orghanised by your local churches diosis.

Christianity whether Roman, Orthodox or protestant is about belonging to a local community of fellow Christians.

The other thing to say is there is no obligation and no pressure to join. It’s just an information exchange.

I was baptized in a Baptist Church in 1992, I was told to become a RC member, I do not need to get baptized again. Just attend the RCIA course will do.
