I feel like I've met someone who I really like and connect with but it's not the time for us to date just yet. We both need to get a few things in order. Are there any people who share a similar situation and can maybe give me some advice as to what I can do?

If it's really the wrong time, how can you even say it's the right person? When people meet, they barely know anything about each other, and acquaintanceship (which many call "just friends") isn't deep enough to explore true compatibility. So if you're not getting together at that higher level, how can you know each other well enough to know whether or not you are the right people for each other?

Also, you're never going to be perfect in this life, and neither is she. For that reason, you should not hide behind getting everything in order, or you'll always be single. Be realistic about what it is you need to get in order as a prerequisite to your entering a relationship.

I see nothing to get in the way of a friendship. It doesn't have to be serious, but since it sounds like you just met her, I see nothing to get in the way of getting to know her better. If the friendship develops well, you can start dating later.

I'm not sure what you need to get in order. If she is ready, and you are ready, then I don't see a problem.

The only thing you need to get in order, is maturity. Are you mature enough to handle the responsibility of marriage? that's the hard part.

Just wait. You know it's not the time for you to date just yet. Its okay to like someone and wait. But knowing that its not time yet and still dating does not seem very okay.
