Rich Mullins was a great Christian artist...some people will debate some of his theology, but his music was truly special and he's definitely missed.

A lot of great songs were put out by him...my favorites are probably Elijah and My Deliverer...

Yes. Roman Catholics particularly like that song. I remember the hand gestulations back from Catholic high school. And I think Michael W. Smith did a requiem song of rememberance for the artist.

I was really into Rich Mullins when I first started listening to Christian music. Now I never listen to him because he is kind of boring, and doesn't rock.

I love how it has the two CDs - the first is his version played alone on piano and taped in a church he would practice in. I think he just used an old tape recorder to tape it. I especially love how he applauds himself at the end. Always makes me smile.

I'm not familiar with his theology. Why the questions about it?!

Are you talking about The Jesus Record? If so, I have that one, and I love it!

I've never been a big fan of his voice, so I can't listen to him for long before his voice irritates me too much. But I enjoy Surely God is with us and My deliverer. I actually like the tribute album better than his original stuff, mainly because of the different people singing it. But no doubt he had talent.
