Actually, I think that one was written by "Beaker."

This one was a joint effort with "Beaker" writing the chorus and Mullins writing the verses:

I kind of wonder what ever happened to Beaker? If those choruses are any indication, he was a fine composer of worship tunes.

Thanks, that's good to know.

Does anyone still listen to Rich Mullins?

I was recently blessed by a line in one of his songs...

"I'd rather fight you for something I don't really want than take what you give that I need..."
I listen to him all the time. His messages were profound. The one in the op really hits home today
"I'd rather fight you for something I don't really want than take what you give that I need..."

I like watching how Rich and Beaker interact in the "Holland" YouTube performance as well as in the "Here in America" video. And, of course, there's the story Rich shared about how he eventually wrote "Hold Me Jesus" when, apparently, "Beaker didn't snore" :)

I listen to him a lot, too, Cassia. Those 9 "Lufkin" YouTube videos are such a blessing.

He left the music business right around the time Rich died. Rich wrote Let Mercy Lead for Beaker's son Aiden.

This is my favorite

"Why do they plot and scheme?" Reminds me of what Paul describes as "the mystery of iniquity".

I like the sound of the penny whistle in this song. Has a celtic feel to it.

The words, "I love you more than your mask" are penetrating. The way I take it, we don't have to be perfect, maskless. Maybe we never are. But we can accept each other in Jesus Name

It's from Psalms 2

Rich's "Such a Thing as Glory" is not one of his best-remembered. But, I think it might have been his most pivotal song, like a door to his thinking and to what he was constantly prodding people to explore. The opening lyrics are right out in the open:

There is such a thing as glory
And there are hints of it everywhere

Here's the song:
