CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I dreamed I saw a purple seal
Sitting proud and oh! so real.
But when I stroked his silken head
I caught a glimpse of eyes so red.
"What's the matter, why so sad?
Have things become so very bad?"
A tear sparkled in his lovely eye
As he said, "I do not want to die.
My home is gone, I've lost my way,
I've been alone for many a day."
I hugged him tight until the night
Heralded the moon casting its light.
The stars were winking and constantly blinking
And I could see he was doing some very hard thinking.
"I've got it now, I remember," he said
As he touched his cool nose to my forehead.
"Farewell, my friend, till another day,"
Was all I had time very quickly to say,
As he walked out to sea and onto a moonbeam
And up to the stars and ..... there ended my dream!

was to post the rhyme of a c/f peer
gramma is right, you don't have to play
just skip this thread, for another day
i read all the poems, i saw all the rhymes,
i wondered the mind of the g-thang times,
& i loved the praise and glory due
of God, the Spirit, and Jesus Christ too
so brinny,gikkita,gramma, happy and joy
so all4,liquid, & all NOT annoyed
let's have fun and take this rhyme to its ends
& have great friendships, and hurts that mend!

Your criticism is what i dread,
A word that rhymes with "kind" i must find.
I have ignored my friend gikkita,
Putting effort into this poem - heart and soul.
Gikkita just forced me to eat-a,
Some Total cereal in a bowl.
