a long day in and a long day done
a rest in sight and a new day will have begun

we truly have no gaurantee

that tommorrow will not bring

so waste no time and work while there is light

the time draws nigh it will soon be done

Today was difficult and full of trials and tears
But God has blessed me and calmed my fears

Whenever worry furrows my brow and stress creeps up on me
My Lord reaches out His merciful hands to set me free

I feel His presense so intense it's true
He lifts me up and carries me through

The tears still fall upon my saddened face
But God shows mercy and lifesaving grace

It won't be long before I can be thankful once more
I'll keep looking towards Jesus like never before.

regardless of all of my days' pains
there are days when i feel that i've moved away
from the precious Grace your sending my way
i need to rest and just want to hide
but Father you come and stand by my side
you stretch out your hand make it available to me
lift me high in air for others to see
he's my child You say, with love in Your voice
I'm his Father today only by choice
he thinks he has failed and that I am ashamed
he quickly forgets Jesus was already blamed
The price is paid.... i had forgotton
It was paid in full by the Fathers only begotton
That none should perish but all come to repentance
and find the love and forgiveness for every instance
of sin and shame and all of the weight
that falls from the world and pushes us from the gate
Thankyou Father for reminding me now
that my focus is lost by the pressure somehow
It seems so easy now.. but your always here
You set me right and make the path clear

oh my there is so much to do

for some reason it's something i love to do
i reckon it's largely the company that's here
blessed believers who hug and cheer
whenever your not what you think you should be
God places someone in your path to see
that He loves you deeply and He really cares
He will pull you through all the world's snares
if you just let Him in and guide your life
you will see, you will feel, His arms in your strife.

This weekend our church will be 172
The Lord has blessed our congreation
it is true.
SO we have a celebration planned
with singing, preachin, words of praise and food
To remember the times past.
And sanction how God is good.
The church has been cleaned
polished and swept.
We look around and notice how God
has blessed.
Today we meet and start with the meal
think of what we will say and do
and reflect on how our God is real.
So give a shout out and celebrate
and make merry..
Say a prayer of thanks and wish us well
On this our church's 172nd anniversary .

It is with out a doubt that I know

Our God is incredible, truly an awesome God
And i'm so small on this planet, this sod

but He loves me, He cares and He carries
He has promised to return, but there's more to save so He tarries

Another day we have set before us to share

Oh to see Jesus, what a wonderful thrill
In His light would my sin show.. and me, would He kill?

I never knew you, but the Father did
from the face of pain you never hid

your life dedicated to helping others
changed in a flash by a drinking driver

you never complained just soldiered on
knowing the Father was in control with His son

and now you rest in His arms so sweet
no pain, or tears no grief you are now complete

so until that day when we meet face to face
Brother Chris rest peacefully, youv'e earned your place.

She surprised me with her love of the Word

She pursues her friends intently

As a friend above others she is preferred

the temperature is dropping and getting very cold
winter will be here soon i'm told
so i think a rhyme of a warmer time
would be good for the friends of mine
who look in to read and see whats new
maybe to encourge post a word or two
it's a great place to be this cyber board
just caring sometimes is a great reward
so once again a few words to share
loving you all, going on with a flair
serving Jesus from one day to another
with all of my life and time, it's really no bother
just walking on with a smile and grin
knowing a new day will soon begin
that last river we'll cross at an incredible pace
and peace will flood over us with the glorious grace.
