• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

They said I was loyal
all those years
that I must’ve shed
a river of tears

My suffering
was saint-like
who could blame me
for taking a hike?

I’ve paid
my dues
it’s about time
I was free

Look at the news
everyone agrees.
no one should
be expected to endure
what happened to me

I should
be given
a medal of honor
Some symbol
of my valor...

Even go down
in history
as a
Hall of Fame-er.

My lawyer
was the best
in his field
he knew exactly
where to hit

For inside of
a few days
it was dust
that she bit.

I was right,
they told me so
and in my defense
I had thousands
chanting for her
to Go Go Go!

It was easy
it was applauded
so many agreeing
I’m a hero

and
as such
I was
lauded

And so it goes
I won
she’s done

I committed
the perfect crime
how exquisitely,
how utterly,
how brilliantly
sublime.

stoppin by the rymin thread
there's a litlle jingle in my head
maybe enough for a smile
or a grin that'll last a while
the days go by in an awful hurry
very little time left to worry
moving ahead, holding His hand
trusting in God til the end
change what i can, work til the night
soon enough, there will be perfect light
praying for those who do not know
the seeds of strife, in their life they sow
rejoicing with those who have found the way
their name is written in the Lambs book this day.

I saw this little helpless guy,
And knew I could not pass him by.
His black black hair, his spotted nose,
The dark on tan of fluffy toes,
His scruffy ears were long enough,
Each like a folded powder puff.
The way he leaned into her chest,
I longed to press him to my breast.
I wanted him to have and hold --
First thing I knew, she had him sold.
Now, I don't pay a lot for mutts,
So don't presume that I am nuts:
I find it wasteful to indulge
In luxuries. So don't divulge
To Paul, the man I'm married to
That certain bills remain past due
And will, until I'm paid again --
Well, don't you do that now and then? --
So if you pass our place some night
And see we dine by candlenight,
If you won't blow my cover-up,
I'll let you pet my precious pup.

fosty mornings and bright shiny days
sping in the air, blue evening haze

what time we have left no one is sure
so enjoy the hours, make the time pure

smile when you can, pray for a friend
teach a child, of the just, defend

walk in the way, the glorious light
seek the Lord, do what is right

in a short time we will see our King
oh what joy and happiness that will bring

not a tear, nor a sorrow on that day will be found
floating and praising, oh imagine the sound

today may seem dim, dark even cold
but know there is hope, our Lord is Bold

on a silver cloud He'll be riding
putting all that is dark into hiding

I can't help but be glad and rejoice
i'm standing my ground, i've made my choice.

Once upon a time

There was a real need to rhyme

In a village called no time

Everybody wore no watch and felt like eating a lime

So then they decided after there faces were sour that they would eat the lime with coconut afterwards and then they would act like mimes

So maybe that is how you put the lime with the coconut and then they invented Cola with lime in it

O Rhyme, O rhyme, I love to rhyme!
I simply do it all the time --
When sweeping up the kitchen floor,
Or polishing the wood front door;
I rhyme when washing pots and pans,
When cleaning lamps on ceiling fans,
I rhyme, I rhyme, when making brunch,
And keep on rhyming through my lunch.
When dinner ends, I sleep but then,
I wake up, glad to rhyme again.

Once upon a midnight clear
There was a birth that came near
for a mother and a child who was born very mild manored oh wow!
This mild manored being was far from the nice little brown cow who was overlocking where he lay
Because he was sound asleep right on some nice warm fresh hay
