  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A rhyme you did
really good for a kid

But then again maybe your older than me
For your age doesn't show you see

I find I'm getting to be an old one now
But I try really hard not to frown

29 and holding I forgot to do
so 35 and aging I haven't a clue
What do you do when you forget to hang on
And you are growing old quickly as quick as a song

This rhyming thing makes me feel crazy
But it beats being lazy

I better go away
or wait should I stay?

Good bye til later
I love ya little tatter

Okay so this rhyme was lame
But I am going just the same

Everday for a week
I've been writing down what I think
I'm trying to make my life into a poem
My mind likes to sink
into blackness and confusion

What I feel is hard to put into words
But still I try
I think about the trees, and the flowers and the birds,
I think about love and hate
Mostly I'm confused because I stay up so late

But just you wait
I'm going to write something awesome
and inspire someone somewhere
to do just what I'm doing
and maybe someday share

I started this thread back in February of 2004
I haven't been rhymin' much lately, so I should rhyme some more
I'd like to thank all those who have been so faithful to this thread
I've enjoyed very much, all the things that I have read
My life has taken a turn, you see,
I've got something extra to do, I'm not so free
I haven't visited Rhymin' Time like I used to
But I am certainly grateful to all of you who do

What a sweet bunch of folks you truly are
I'm overwhelmed with your kindness, what can I say
I am blessed to know you, I feel like a star
You make me feel that there are those who care
That is something we all need from time to time
Even tho I know that God is always there
Sometimes I feel down and you've make me feel fine
