it's more important than money
as lifes wanes and waxes

Being tired is really rough,
Sleep? I rarely get enough.
Movies watched until the dawn,

Sunrise sees me sleeping sound,

we're protected by the love

a friend has passed, his name was Mike
this story to tell i do not like

but tell it i will, there is a lesson here
of all the reasons and all the fear

i have in witnessing to the world
so many times i am not bold

for almost 8 years Mike and i
walked and talked of God on high

i spoke so often, we have no gaurantee
that in the next moment the Lord we'll see

but Mike replied "i know i know"
tommorrow we'll bury him beneath the snow

i do not know if Mike treads streets of Gold
and i ask myself was i bold?

enough to help Mike make Heaven his home
the choice was his i know, but where does he roam

Mike had struggled for 42 years
a wife and 5 girls now in tears

a father, a son, a husband and a brother was he
but not in the Lord, from Jesus he would flee

Lord help the grieving to see
there is no hope, except in thee

Wunnerful a friend you tried to be
A bit too far and A little too late
You tried to reach him, all could see

Friends are hard to witness to
Sometimes they think they know more
God appreciates His Word in you
And all He shed His blood for

Those who remain are those to reach
Never lose sight of His glory
Jesus this He did us teach
Praise Him & keep telling His story

i know the Father has given us a new day

so i look for the mercy that in the morning renews
and try again to share the Good News

i look at the sky so bright and blue
on this winter day made by You

and wonder at the power you have in Your Hand
and again i pray "Father please heal our land"

so many are dying and can't find in sight
your Son in us who are to be the light

and salt for those who don't know
but Father it feels like sometimes it's a show

i know you are near and you promise to be
always beside us and never to flee

so today i rest Your arms complete
and know with You in my life, there is no defeat

so i'll just post a lil rhyme for you

the sky is bright but the air is cold
it will be here a while or so im told

at least until april or may of this year
when the air will warm and the ice disappear

a season will change and on we will go
unless on the this day the Lord will show

His presence as He promised one day He would do
when He returns as the King for me and for you
