• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

because good wine
and good bread
was the food of the common man for thousands and thousands of years
it was the backbone of Western Culture
and it was even elevated to be used in the Sacraments of the Church

add some nice cheese
and some good tea, coffee, and tobacco to stimulate the mind
and boom, you have everything that is needed to live an amazing life
maybe some meat and vegetables every now and again
but the staples are bread, wine, cheese

we live in a culture where Pepsi is more acceptable then wine....
that is just crazy talk

I have little experience with them

there is a University in North Eastern Ohio, Steubenville Franciscan University that is kind of a focal point for Charismatic Catholics in my state, it is like a 3 hour drive to get to from where I live, but when I was in university I made a trip up to see one of their Charismatic conferences
Eucharistic adoration, lots of praise and worship music, just a very positive atmosphere

so while I am not negative to the CCR (Catholic Charismatic Revival) it is not really something I am involved in

What are your thoughts on Legalists/Legalism? :)
I am not sure what that term means
lol I mean, I have heard it used before
but it is used like this "anything I do not like falls under Legalism, everything I do like falls under 'a clear reading of the Scripture'"

God made humans
and to live the best life we can have, we should try to follow the Laws that God gave us
He knows what is best for us, and we should trust Him and try to be faithful to Him
He also knows that we are weak, and sometimes we mess up
that is why He died on the cross for us and He gives us the Sacraments to help us.

I can't think of any questions right now but I wanted to say I really like your name :)

aw thank you
I hope this thread helped you to learn a bit more about me
and welcome to Christian Forums my dear sister in Christ

twilight in the early summer

the soft colors of blue and gray and scarlet and purple blending and melting together the very moment after the sun has sunk past the horizon, bright enough to see, but the harshness of direct sunlight has left
the heat of the day starts to abate, sunrise and sunset are both usually marked with a slight increase in wind, the changing temperature has a slight effect on wind patterns so you will often times have a slight breeze to cool you
